    Braided stainless steel brake lines?

I used this company in Indiana to make some braided brake hoses for a couple of my bikes. Sent them the old hoses and let them know if they needed to be stock length or how much to add. Very reasonable prices and decent turn around. The owner is a nice guy and remembered me almost a year later...

    Lithium Jump Starter

+1 on the Red Fuel brand jump starter. Great for electronic devices. It is small, but will jump start most cars.

Please Help. OEM top case lock tumbler

Here is a thread where the top box is keyed so there is only one key. Part numbers are given also. Hope this helps. Re-key Honda panniers

Ukrainian engine guard - effect on regular maintenance?

I can't speak for how these will work with maintenance on the NX, but as for the quality of workmanship, it is top notch. My NX250 has front and rear bars from them. Fit perfect and are strong. If you do go with them please be patient with shipping. Shipping numbers/updates are non-existent...

Is the Madstad windscreen too effective?

I tried those adjustable brackets with the stock small windscreen and it made no difference. Still have them around here somewhere.

    Top speed frustration

In Arizona the speed limit is 75. So, I usually cruise at that or 80. Sometimes I hit 85 when passing or trying to get ahead of a pack of traffic. That's about it for me. 3500 interstate miles this year to California and back a couple of times and it did just fine.

    Rox risers installed

Just got back from a 1100 mile round trip to LA this past week. The 2" risers felt very natural and helped out on some of the discomfort felt on a previous trip to SF in the spring. Upper body felt very good, no pain in the upper back/neck area that I had before. However, the gel seat pad I...

Fork Seal Leak / Protective Covers?

Shock Sox is the name of the ones I use. They work very well and keep the Arizona sun off of the dust covers on the top of the forks and protect the fork tube area that gets the most movement. Berm Motorsports | Shock Sox | Ten Second Removable Fork Seal Protector – berm-shock-sox

How long have your tires been lasting on the NC700?

I've been running the Bridgestone brand since new. OE tires were the T23's, upgraded to the T30, and now have the T30 Evo's. Current mileage is 25,000 with the T30 Evo rear needing replacement soon. Average it all out and it is about 8k-ish on the Bridgestones. Mostly commuting 20 miles a day...

    Rear seat removal

Here is picture of the offending stud on pillion seat. Basically cut the nut in two and was able to use the cross cut stud with no issues afterwards. Hope this helps.

    Rear seat removal

might want to try and carefully cut the nuts off of the studs using a dremel tool with a cut-off wheel. I had a similar problem when removing it to replace the rear seat cover. I was able to reuse the studs with the foam and cover off. Added a bit of epoxy to hold them in place. This is not...

    Rox risers installed

MotionPro has the stock clutch cable dimensions on file and can make longer cables without sending in a sample. My 2" risers caused the cable to bind on left turns. I had them add 2 1/4" to the stock cable and it works great. Cost was around $75 with good turn around.

Do you change your windshield for touring, then switch back for local riding?

I ride my NC just about every day down here in southern Arizona. Once the 'sweet spot' in its adjustment was found, nothing was changed between our riding seasons. High temps in the 100's and lows in the high 30's. Keeping the air off of my body is a wonderful thing.

Extra fuel storage. MSR bottles mounted.

Thank you for posting this. Was looking for ways to mount some MSR bottles on the bike, but sacrificing some frunk space for mileage is a no brainer for me. On the next long CA trip, the stuff that would go into the frunk will be put in the panniers or the top box. This NC has almost as many...

    Rox risers installed

I used a Dremel brand electric engraver to make lines on the Rox Risers before I installed them. About 100 miles so far and have not had a problem. Still have a 12mm wrench in the frunk just in case.

Thanks for the clarification. That one looks a bit more robust than the Pyramid hugger.

    Anyone tried this hugger?

I purchased one of these huggers for my 700 right after buying it 4 years ago. I did a great job of keeping things kinda clean, but eventually it cracked due to vibration. It is held in place to the swing arm by a very large tie wrap/zip tie. After a few years I noticed some strange rattle and...

Seen in Tucson on Friday morning (04/06/2018) on Campbell Ave going north by the University about 7:20 am. Looked like the rider had Givi bags. Was wearing shorts if I remember correctly.

    Lan split with OEM panniers?

I was in CA this past week on my NC and my buddy behind me mentioned that my factory panniers had good clearance when we did some limited lane splitting on the 101.

    Jacking up a NC.

+1 on the center stand. 3 1/2 years into ownership I finally got one. The paddock stands worked fine, but it makes it so much easier just to clean and lube the chain without having to dig out the paddock stand from the storage shed. Might be tempted to clean and lubricate the rear swingarm in...
