    40 mpg!

Well that's what I got on my KTM 990 SMT, highly tuned, that best it's ever gotten! Oh yeah, my wife on her NC700 got 84 MPG. Damn show off. This was a mix of city and highway. She does a good job of keeping up with me, and the highway was 70 - 75 MPH.

    Zero electric motorcycles

I rode a Brammo Inertia at the local motorcycle shop. It was a blast! Like a Bicycle except faster. If you are looking something to Hooligan on, an electric motorcycle would be great. KTM is working on it. http://youtu.be/T-AzDZt1IcM

So what did you do TO your NC700 today.

I installed heated grips, a water proof 12 V accessory port and a garage door opener with a micro switch. Does Honda really need to use that many types of fasteners to hold the side panels on?

Question: How to clean the air-filter (and maintenance)?

Eh, I desert raced for many years and always used K&N filter. I never had any issues and my engine builder recommended them. The check was to pull it and run your finger on the inside of the intake to see if it had ingested anything.

    Plastic Clip Removal

I'm getting ready to install heated grips and a power outlet on the NC700X. It looks to me like the clips that hold the panels on might be pretty easy to break. Does anyone have any advice or a tools that aids in removal? This is the first bike I've had that has anything like this, the KTM...

    Sub-harness connectors?

I'm installing the Honda heated grips on the NC, and I would like to also add a power point to the cowl while I have it apart. I have a waterproof 12v socket ready to go and was wondering if any one had a source for connectors that would plug in to the sub harness? I can always replace the...

    Anyone do a wheelie yet?

I don't have picts as my wife would kill me if she knew I was pulling the front wheel up on her bike. It comes up fairly easily in first, but I haven't been able to get it to the balance point. 2nd I need a crest to get it off the ground.

Great Site to help you figure out best sprocket combo's

I checked both my Speed Triple and KTM SMT and it isn't quite correct. According to the chart it says my Speed III does 101 at 3,760 rpm in 6th. If I remember correctly, at 4,000 rpm I am doing about 65, and I know I'm not doing 120 on the SMT at 4,500 rpm in 6th.

    Mirror Height- lane split issues

Yes. Don't take it so personal. This is the internet, not real life. And the NC is a way better bike to lane split with than a cruiser.

    Mirror Height- lane split issues

Westxtsew I'm also a California native and lane split since I started riding street bikes 30 years ago. I now live in Minnesota and wouldn't try it here. Midwest drivers suck. To those that haven't lived in California and lane split, go dump on someone elses post. As for your original...
