    Valve Adjustment Interval - 2012/13 Model Versus 2014/15 Model

    I went to 22k miles on my 2013 before checking. Exhaust were tight, but not dramatically. I will check them again at 40k.

    NC 700 X specific Chain / Sprocket Set

    I've got a set of JT sprockets waiting to go on, but at 30k miles, I keep comparing my OE sprockets to them, and don't see any wear. I'm on my 3rd chain BTW, averaging 12k miles on them.

    Puig clear, trimmed slightly with standoffs to fit my Barkbusters. Run 20k+ miles this way on stock wellnuts with zero issue.

    How many miles now?

    25k miles on my 2013. 3 rear tires, 2 fronts, 1 chain, 5 oil changes, 1 set of front pads. Needs a second chain and bearings soon.

    Rear wheel bearing failure

    I had a bad chain early (11k miles), replaced it without doing the sprockets because they looked fine. My rear wheel bearings still feel great at 23k miles. Fronts are starting to feel a little loose though. Always torqued to spec with tire replacement.

    Scorpion Trail vs. PR4

    Hi guys, 21k miles on my 700x. I've been through the metzlers, and one set of Scorpion Trails. I love the Scorpions, but was wondering if anyone else had ridden with both those and the PR4s? I bought a DRz400 for the dirt now, so my 5% dirt time is pretty much 0% now.

    Trip "A" data reset itself!!! I guess I got a bad one!

    So, my 2013 had an issue. After 11k miles, the trip meters would NOT reset. This is after 14 months and tons of resets. Then today, after putting up with this a couple of weeks, it worked again... I was kinda like meh, cool. Then the backlight stopped working. What the EFF?

    Carbon canister removal? (Vapor recovery)

    I had to remove it on my Buell, it got clogged up and the vacuum on my tank kill the engine on the freeway. I don't like engines dying on the freeway. It sucks.

    OEM tire change for 2014?

    I don't know if anyone else was horribly unhappy with the Metzlers, but they were very stiff and made the bike feel unconnected in high speed turns. I was afraid to push it when the bike was leaned over at all. The Scorpion Trails have been the opposite entirely, I love how sticky they feel...

    I might be behind the times, but I noticed of the 5 NC's sitting at Chaparral Motorsports last week 2 presumably 2014's didn't have the Metzlers or the BT23's. I was in a hurry, so I didn't see exactly what the were, but looked like maybe Michelins? I was horribly unhappy with my OE Metzlers...
