Good thread.
I was considering making a windscreen as well. I did one for an XJ I had years ago.
I did a bunch of googlizing, and kind of left it there. Then I saw this thread. Got my inspiration back up.
I did a large 'wave' shaped piece of acrylic years ago for a balcony balustrade in the...
A great ride report. Thanks for the link.
At this point I do not have an interest in using my NC this way, but it is fun to see others test the limits.
Danmoto is no deal at all. If you just bought your first set of spanners....a Five. If you have ever tightened a nut to a bolt....a .2 as mentioned above.
The biggest issue is if you are using, or want to use, a center stand. Then you will need a way to anchor or stop the 'up' travel of the...
It is always big fun but exhausting. It was a lot hotter than it would normally have been, plus the bugs were epic.
All the cars are brown! Funny....I was taking a shot at one point and thought the same thing. And that is trying to avoid the mud. LOL
This is me...
Ok, so this has nothing to do with an NC.
But, seeing as how I hang out here now and again I thought I would share some images of my weekend past.
This was Canada Day long weekend around here. I am sure you folks from around the planet may have had a long weekend of some sort as well...
I have had that pipe on there almost as long as I have had the bike. It is the first thing I ordered. hahahahaha. I love it.
The weird thing is I kind of hear all kinds of different bikes in the tone when I am riding. I just got home about 10 minutes ago. I took the 30 minute version of the...
Well, I have heard it in 3D....just got off it actually.....and I have seen and heard the video. The tone and volume are well represented in that vid. As someone said, the starter sound and the airplane above kind of reference the thing for you.
I didn't know there was a baffle available. This...
The stock exhaust was one of the few things about this bike I actually disliked. It was far too quiet and wheezy. I like to hear a motors exhaust. Not all the whiring and spinning. When I ride with other bikes I couldn't hear my bike at all.
Maybe I am old fashioned...or just plain old....but...
In case any finds themselves with the same requirements in the future:
I got the Kuryakin adaptor part #8844. It was a perfect match but for the pin hole size. I am sure with another try I could have nailed the exact adaptor, but just decided to bore the 1/4" pin hole out to the required 5/16"...
That's interesting. I wonder how you knew they would fit?
I just finished my mod so unfortunatly I can't use your advice, but it is much appreciated. Thanks.
Great stuff. You are lucky to be close at hand.
A friend and I did that road a few years ago.....then went on to ride every summit we could find in WA, and Oregon. It was a grand trip.
What mpgandfun said....sand / oil / a little deisel is likely the culprit. Another possibility is these little tar repairs the road guys do on cracks in the road. Every region does their repairs different I am sure. But in the last few years around here they use this gooey rubberry/tar mix on...
Absolutly important point to mention for sure. I am a short legged Dwarf-like human. Think Gimli. So it is not bad for me to use these pegs where they are now. But having said that; I have been using these for a while and came to the new conclusion that I would like a bit more width and perhaps...
