Went for a 50-mile ride on the back roads so I never rode real fast -- averaged about 50 MPH. I got her up to 80 MPH once or twice. It was real windy/blustery but the bike felt solid, even with gusty head- and side-winds. With my full helmet and the wind I rarely heard the engine and had to...
This is my 50th motorcycle -- in 50+ years of riding. I never know when I will buy a new (to me) bike or sell one. They're just things and I soon tire of them and want a different thing. Buying used allows me to get away with this with minimal financial hurt -- sometimes I break even --...
Well, I saw my way clear to go up today and purchase this 2013 NC700X. It's now home. Took the hard bags off and stored them -- don't need them for my style of riding. Here is a pic in front of my garage.

Seriously, I'll try to get up there next weekend.
There's the conundrum. I rarely buy new bikes, mostly because I may end up selling a recently acquired bike in a few months, maybe because I got tired of it or just ended up not liking it. This could easily happen with this NC700X -- if I buy it. Can't do that after buying a new bike...
Thank you. I rarely buy a new motorcycle. And when I have purchased new, some of them have been impulse buys that I've somewhat regretted later.
The (performance) electric motorcycle intrigues me because it matches completely my riding style now: 3-4 short rides a week, rarely more than 50...
For me, the upright (standard) riding position is best. I feel I have more control of the bike, more able to use my legs as shock absorbers. I really don't like cruiser ergos (forward controls). I'll go sport-bike ergos before cruiser ergos -- any day. I don't know but I would think that...
I routinely drive to the Phoenix area to look at / buy motorcycles, sometimes a 5-hour round trip. I don't do it casually, because I hate that drive. I talk with the seller several times, ask for and get high-res pictures from all sides, then settle on a price. I take cash and trailer. Even...
