When I say removed the cat I mean I fitted a Leo Vince de-cat pipe.
I was mostly told I'd notice gains and I did, also somebody said that if I was to fit an aftermarket silencer I'd notice a loss in bottom end performance, totally untrue.
Not sure if my experience is different to others...
Mine lugged quite badly when I swapped out the air filter, then it seemed to adjust itself after a couple of rides to a tolerable and apparently characteristic lug.
The same thing happened when I removed the cat but when I changed the silencer I didn't notice any extra lugging for any amount of...
Did some runs this afternoon as well as some a few weeks ago and I've still got some more to do, anyway I worked out my average 0-60 time:
Previously with LV de-cat, DNA filter and Honda silencer.
0-60mph : 4.9 seconds.
Today with LV de-cat, DNA filter and Yoshimura silencer (baffle removed)...
Thanks Fuzzy
I wasn't sure from memory if my bike did so before my mods (filter, de-cat and silencer) because I only rode it a few miles stock, though I suspected it did just not as easily as it does now.
Has anybody else found that tuning mods on the DCT encourage it to downshift more easily...
Driving without insurance here isn't a serious offence, it's a motoring offence with no risk of prison or losing your licence unless you've already got points, a minor fine and points is the penalty. Theft, murder and fraud are serious offences, you tried to pipe up earlier in my lugging thread...
I did start a thread about this but it didn't conclude anything, I was told the gearing may confuse the DCT, I'll try it after I've changed the end can.
I know very well how manufacturers and dealers try to distance themselves from problems. It was the Honda dealer at my first service who I...
To update the thread and reply to you all I'd like to tell you that my bike was lugging before my mods but possibly slightly less, I only rode it twice before the mods and only used it in D mode once.
Two days ago I refitted my Honda air filter making my bike standard apart from the de-cat pipe...
I thought all twin engines were quite prone to vibrations not least the NC which I've read many threads about here and on the UK forum, also I thought the 750 had an extra balancer shaft for extra smoothness.
As stated when the bike's in S mode it's very smooth and I have no complaints.
It's...
My engine lugs badly below 2.5k revs and in every gear, my bike's a DCT and in D mode it's very obvious and consistent, it feels almost like a misfire that travels through the bars and I wonder if this is part of the vibration problem that these bikes are known for. When the bike's in S mode...
Has anybody fitted a smaller front sprocket to their DCT bike?
I've recently accepted that DCT bikes don't have a fuel controller option so I'm looking for other ways to achieve slightly more bottom end having already fitted a de-cat and air filter.
Has anybody put their DCT NC on a dyno or rolling road?
I tried mine yesterday and it wouldn't move out of first gear unless it was to put it back into neutral, it shifted from N-D-S with as it usually would and from MT-AT.
My ABS light was on so I'm thinking maybe this was stopping the...
Today I had the bike put on a rolling road but wasn't able to have the test completed as the bike wouldn't move out of 1st gear.
It would switch from N-D-S and AT-MT but would not change past 1st, the ABS light was on so I suggested turning it off and putting it back on the dyno but the...
