Exactly. Going from on to start makes no difference. That's why I have eliminated the battery. In the on position, I don't what would be making that noise. I have hooked a battery charger to the battery and tried it also. No difference. Tomorrow I think I will try disconnecting the starter...

Ermax Tire hugger Just installed the red version of these tire huggers. It matches pretty well to my 2014 NC700XD. Easy installation, good fit. I agree with whoever said it was pricey for a piece of plastic. But it looks good. Got mine from; motomachines.com.
