I had ridden an XR75 for a few years when I was a kid, but then nothing until middle age when I bought a used CRL250L with 375 miles on it and I got my license. That will be four years ago in July. The first year I had it I mainly commuted with it on pavement. 10 miles each way through the...
Yes I saw that the other night while searching for new AT videos. I didn't watch all of it as it was pretty long. I am sure I missed some of the details. I was wondering if he had a license or even taken any type of safety course. It almost looked like it was on a bike for the first time. His...
I went to my nearest dealer in MN today to see if they had the AT on the floor. I was told that there were two that came in the week before. One manual and one DCT. Both were presold and out the door right away. They told me they had two more manual models coming around August and they couldn't...
Well there aren't many choices. Either that or all silver in the US.
Anything but silver for me if I'm buying any kind of vehicle. Just too boring for me.
Haha, yeah, I think that sums it up pretty well. Somehow I ended up going to the show with my wife who doesn't ride or really have an interest in motorcycles at all. When it was over she said it would have been a lot more interesting if they showed more riding.
It stood proud on its stand all day. I dropped it when I was standing on the left side and pushed it forward to come off the stand. Somehow I lost it in that process. Maybe I was doing it wrong!
I have a nice steel plate much like that for my side stand that I keep in my frunk. I just thought...
I am so glad I found this. I am feeling just slightly better knowing that I am not the only one to drop my bike. My problem is using the center stand. I am not comfortable with that for some reason. I have trouble getting the bike up on it, while getting it down seems easier.
A couple of weeks...
I do not have any feedback for you 670cc. I have been riding for less than a year now and I think I am signed up for something quite similar in June. It is called the MSF "Basic Rider Course 2". Its five hours long on your own bike. Here are the details:
Motorcycle Safety Foundation's Basic...
Heh, yeah, I would like like to spend a little time on the CB300F too. When I took my course last year the bikes were mostly Suzuki TU250s with a couple other bikes I don't remember. I grabbed one of the two DR200s and did the course with that.
I installed a center stand today.
After reading about the installation procedure on this forum I figured I should be able to get it done with nothing more than an extra pair of hands or a borrowed ratchet strap. I wasn't able to wrangle up either and I still got it done by myself in 30-40...
Congratulations! I have only been riding for a little less than a year now.
This is a wonderful forum! I am sure you will learn a lot and get plenty of ideas. I really have enjoyed my time here and I am sure you will too.
