Stock shock seal gone at 27,000 miles.

I'm surprised you guys got those mileages out. I'm at 17k now and my rear recently pooped out. Funny thing is there is no oil leak, but the ride is now shit! Definitely will be putting a sock over a replacement! Also, has anyone encountered cracked front fork wipers after just 2 1/2 years?

Clearwater Lights on a Denali light bar? Anyone?

OP, ever get those Clearwaters mounted? Interested in some pics and opinions on the Denali light bar and the lights. I ended up making my own light bar out of some iron flat bar but thinking of seeing how much better the manufactured bar is.

Why did you choose your NC?

I'm a little late replying to this thread but I knew because I knew (if that makes any kind of sense). It had Honda reliability which I needed with a kid on the way and it seemed like a "do-all" kind of bike. I could throw some TKC80's and have a little bit of fun off road or I could put PR4's...

No penny, but thoughts about your Airhawk seat pad are wanted :)

I've also been using the Airhawk Medium Cruiser and its made all the difference in riding the X. I can ride longer and farther without my butt getting as sore as it did with just the stock seat. Coincidentally, I'll be doing a Saddlesore 1000 this weekend and another 1,000 mile jaunt to...

    St1100 / 1300

Interested in this thread. I mulled an ST purchase many years ago but went with a 'Wing. Then I moved onto a German brand. The other day I went to my local dealer to have the combination meter recall performed and saw they still had a new 2012 ST1300. They wanted just shy of $13k for it. I've...

    100 mph: Is that it?

I've made it to the 100mph mark but it was a struggle. But I'm also not the most aerodynamic at 6'2" and 240lbs.

So what did you do TO your NC700 today.

Awesome job! I had one on my Goldwing and I didn't remove it before I sold it. I've been meaning to get another and put it exactly where you did - that way it can be reverted to stock (with the reflector) if I ever sell it.

So what did you do TO your NC700 today.

Yeah, for whatever reason, it "processed" for several hours whereas the meep one was quick.

So what did you do TO your NC700 today.

Today I FINALLY ended up replacing the MEEP MEEP horn with something with cajunas- a Hella twin trumpet horn (007424801). I ended up painting them matte black to blend in with the frame. Sound clips below. Pics to follow this evening. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZaiLcaC4V4k...

    Seen in the wild

NC spotting in Noblesville/Fishers area I had yet to see a NC out in the wild since they came to the States...UNTIL THIS MORNING! It was still dark out and I saw another bike pull behind me. I was quite amazed because it seems that I'm the only one in my area that will ride when it's this brisk...

Do You Have A Trip Meter Reset Problem? COMPLAIN ABOUT IT!

I filed a complaint with the NHTSA as well earlier in the month regarding this. But another thing I've noticed is that I usually cruise around 75mph, when I apply throttle I feel like I'm going faster but the speedo still reads 75 or 76 mph. But when I have the Waze app or a GPS speed ap on and...

Prior bike to NC700 and thoughts on transition

I've had the fortune of having multiple bikes over the years like many others here. Most of them have been 90+ HP beasts. The NC doesn't replace anything, but it is currently my sole bike. Pros: Pretty much everything everyone has listed here: frunk, good ergos (for me anyways, I'm 6'2")...

    Mounting tires?

To the OP, GO FOR IT! Changing your own moto tires is one more step in motorcycle confidence! You can figure for the price of two changes at a dealer, you could buy the tools your need to get the job done yourself. I started changing my own tires about a decade ago and am so glad I started! My...

Just pulled the trigger on this

Nice! I looked at those NV's when they came out. Too expensive (for what they are) at the time, but lightly used ones that I've seen can be had for a decent price!
