False tank open without ignition key modification

Has anyone converted this to an electric push button switch yet? Like say a dual rocker with an actuator at both the frunk and the rear pillion? Screw this key crap. Haha. I love my NC, but man, the new FJ09 looks so nice. More power, better sound. Maybe too small like my NC. Possible Super...

    20,000+ miles on a NC700

31k miles. On it's 3rd chain (first was almost immediately recalled), 3rd rear tire, 2nd front tire, 1k on it's 2nd set of front pads. 28k of it enjoyed through my awesome RaceTech suspension. Night and day from factory.

tires: new set of Mich. Pilot Road 2s... break in? Prep?

Yes very slick! My gentle 90 degree right out of the cycle shops driveway turned into a 180 degree high side! Haha Be careful!

    Is this "normal" tire wear...

I got 9k out of my rear Metzler and 18k out of the front Metzler. Front would have gone much further, but I had rode on it low on air for awhile unknowingly. I have 11k and 2k respectively on a set of Dunlop Roadsmart 2's. I love them!

    Appreciate the advice. Thank you!

    Clunk... Clunk.. Clunk, clunk..

Chain was replaced per the recall so it doesn't have that many miles on it. I'll have to look at my receipts and see the mileage on the chain. I was surprised it was so stretched. But again, unfamiliar territory.

    Clunk... Clunk.. Clunk, clunk..

I guess I better break out that Walmart chain cleaner I saw in the other thread. Thanks for the input Lee!

    Clunk... Clunk.. Clunk, clunk..

So I noticed this clunk the other day when I accelerate from a stop. Then, last night I noticed it again (I usually ride with music on and hadn't really noticed it was an ongoing thing) but this time, it just wasn't a one time thing. It started slow and as my speed picked up, the so did the...

Exaust louder on startup then gets quiet?

Mine does this too. I do not think it is the exhaust though. Sounds like the throttle body opens itself slightly at startup, then closes. It's an intake growl, not an exhaust growl. I wish it was possible to keep that sound. Haha

    Fuel gauge problems?

When my bike was new, I could predict to within 5-10 miles of empty. Now, it's a crap shoot. You can't have them fix a problem under warranty if you can't duplicate the problem. Not that I would, but I wonder if you can lemon law a bike? Lol

    Rox 2" risers

Sorry, wasn't implying factory grooves, just saying I didn't add any, just ran it however it was stock.

    Reserve? nc700s

Haha, two diff pumps when I've run out. No center stand yet, but I did stand the bike upright sitting on it backwards to fill once (yes I felt dumb, but in the interest of science... Lol) and the second time I leaning the bike upright with my hip.

    Rox 2" risers

When I dumped mine, I bent the sheet out of the clutch lever, pro taper bars and the entire fairing/tank/speedo is shifted over 1/2", but the rox risors never moved. No grooves other than what was on the factory mount.

Extra fuel storage. MSR bottles mounted.

    Booster rockets. Cool. Haha

    Reserve? nc700s

I've run out twice. I fuel up over the baffle plate as high as I can without it spilling and I got 3.660 and 3.661. My trip to work is about 62 miles, so I fill up every other night at 186. Like clock work. Yet, unlike clock work, my POS gauge is different every time. Lol
