Got over 80mpg twice riding in the mountains of New Mexico. 84 has been the high. I regularly get in the low to mid 70s. No special conditions, tailwinds, special fuel or overly cautious driving techniques. Manual tranny. Maybe the thin air has something to do with it.

I am trying to devise a way to clip some kind of map holder onto the "not a tank". Has anyone out there found something or fashioned something for this? I bet one could be easily fashioned out of some of those lip clamps, some light bungies and a frame of some kind to hold a map or grocery list.

Thanks Bode and Craig. I will look at the Moto Fizz stuff. I had their large one for years. Used it on the first trip on the Bc700x. It held up great but was definitely NOT waterproof. The waterproof cover was not very good either and it almost wiped me out in the badlands.
