I think it would be a poor argument to trade Officer safety for turn signal violation ticket $. There's plenty of 4 wheel plainclothes LE vehicles down here.
About 2 months. Your palms will be very sensitive to impact for several months. Your grip might change slightly too. Little and ring finger won't have the same grip strength when squeezing toward your thumb. Was off work for 10 days on primary hand and 3 days for other. Found the prelim shock...
There's a couple of downsides to Maile you should consider-

2. Very limited flexibility.

You can get little plug in electronic screamer devices at the Home Improvement store. 3 pak is about $10. Plug 'em in next to where the bike/car is parked. Packrats used to strip the plug wires on my pickup till I started using these.

Lubed the chain, test ride. Next 6 weeks will be back and forth between Tucson and...

Short warm up run getting ready for upcoming Renaissance festival. Some nasty bug nailed me on the left side of the throat near chinstrap. Left hand is recovering nicely after nerve decompression surgery. No more tingling /numbness after 5 mins of riding. Mount bracket on my cheap $35 top box...
I'm a big fan of Clubmans flipped up buckhorn style. Won't clear the NC's frunk without an oddball riser though. Too many potholes out here to trust a 4" Rox against twisting. Hints?
