I'm posting this poll just out of curiosity. This is not meant to be an us vs. them thing or create any kind of division amongst the owners, or open a discussion about the pros and cons of one or the other. In fact, I'd rather close the thread so there won't even be a discussion, but then the poll would also be closed. Please, just state your status with a simple vote, and we'll sit back and see the results. The choices in the poll may not cover all circumstances; just pick the closest choice, or abstain if you wish. Also, this is for current owners, not prospective buyers or wannabes.

Thanks!

Got the manual. I'm pleased with it. Wished it would have come with ABS here in the States, but I wasn't ready for an extra $2K in price and to be forced to get the DCT to get ABS. When I wear this one out if I get another I may get the DCT, we'll see.

I'll reiterate the opinion that it would be good if you could get ABS without the DCT in the US. My next bike will have it - whatever that bike is.

Manual with ABS as I am in Europe. The gearbox in this bike is one of the best I have experienced.

*Bump* to keep the poll alive. :)

I have the manual and am pleased with it. Like others have already posted, I would've liked the option to get ABS with the manual. Cannot understand Honda's policy to offer it in some parts of the world and not all parts.

The DCT is not offered up here unfortunately, I would have loved to try it out to see what it was like. Having said that, I am more than happy with the manual version, and don't honestly know if DCT would have weirded me out too much after all these years of manual transmissions.

Initially the DCT was bought primarily to get the ABS, but after riding it for a year the wife loves the DCT. I like the DCT also because it works so good.

One last bump on the tranny poll.

I have the manual. I considered the DCT also to get ABS. Who knows might just have to have one of each in the not too near future.

I have ordered the DCT version.I had a test ride with the DCT version back in June and found out that it pleases me so I ordered it.

I have the manual with ABS and would liked to have tried the DCT but it's not sold in Canada. Thanks to Honda for providing the ABS with the manual or I would have passed it up.

I have no issue at all with Auto transmissions and I have ridden scooters to commute for years. However like others I am slow to move to it on a motorcycle as I am happy with manual trans. As I am getting older I am finding that my hands are getting stiff from arthritis, and eventually I may have to revert to Auto trans on my bikes as the constant clutch use will be alleviated and will thus give me relief. When that happens I will have no problem adapting.

I agree, I have test both with the same pleasure, the manual is quick and soft, anyway I will purchase the automatic one because 95% of my daily trips are in trafic jams!...
