In researching the correct EBC pads for my 2013 NC700XD it seems agreed that the rear are FA174, but the front is described as both FA388 and FA196. All the vendor websites I have visited call for FA196 and say that the FA388 are incorrect, but the FA388 seem to be commonly recommended on this and other forums. What is the difference between these two parts and which is correct?

Thanks!

The 388s fit the three piston front caliper Honda fitted to the 2012-2013 DCT with ABS model. (In the USA only DCTs got ABS 2012-2013. Can't speak to other markets. A location in your profile or post is always helpful.)

196s fit the two piston caliper Honda fitted to manual transmission non-ABS models 2012-2020. The 3 pot caliper is longer hence the 388 pads are longer.

Then I guess my 2013 USA-version DCT/ABS (which does have the 3-pot caliper) would take the 388. The application lookup on vendor websites probably cannot resolve the difference.

Thanks for the info, appreciate it (and my location is in my profile, or at least I see it when I tap my username.)
