Heel toe shifter PROS & CONS

PROS:
Easy install took 1/2 second on the highway - no need to dismount or even turn off the bike. Just hit a piece of plywood head on at about 55 mph.
No need to remove shift lever... too-less install.
Cost = $0

CONS:
Less aerodynamic.
Downshifts are pretty easy but upshifting with the back of your heal takes getting used to.

In the end, I had buyers remorse and removed the shifter (did not touch the linkage) and bent it straight in my bench vice then wirebrushed the rust and applied Helmsman Spar (outdoor UV resistant) polyurethane with a sponge to prevent rust from coming back. Good thing my foot (toes) were directly over the foot peg. Never had anything like this and been ridin' since '88.
