Shad seat problem on 2017 NC750X

Today I tried fitting a brand new Shad seat to my 2017 NC750X, as you can see on the photo there is a gap of about 10mm between the seat and the frunk, I have tried various ways of fitting but the gap wont go away and its not a surprise, the end of the seat that goes up against the frunk is curved and the frunk is not curved hence the gaping gap, this appears to be a design fault, one thing I did wonder, the seat is supposed to fit models from 2014 to 2018, could this be a seat for the earlier model, does the older model have a more curved frunk that fits the seat ok ?
I am not happy !

I think it's just the way it's designed.

I got the Sargeant seat for my 2016 700x and it's got the same gap you are referring to. I think it helps with the slope of the stock seating position, so never bothered to see if it could be fixed to where it would be flush.
There are so many differences between the stock seat and the Sargeant. Hard to tell which is the reason for the gap. The stock seat in the photo of the underside is on the left.

I have a Shad seat on a 2012 that fit with no gap. I sold it after 5000 miles of use, then at some later point acquired another Shad seat. I was frustrated when fitting the second seat because of the gap at the frunk. I think I solved it by putting on shorter rubber bumpers. I think the bumpers I used came from the passenger seat. The shorter bumpers lowered the seat and closed the gap. That one Shad seat fit fine while the second one had the gap suggests Shad might have changed something along the way.
