Hi All.

Anyone know of a (700 Deauville?) longer clutch cable that'll fit a 2012 700x. I need to add a couple of inches.

Cheers

I dont know about the Deauville clutch cable, but I do know that the CTX700, sold in the US, has a clutch cable 100mm longer than the 2012 NC700X cable, and it fits on the NC just fine. I have a CTX clutch cable on my NC because I have an 80mm handlebar riser.

I have a bar riser on my 2018 NC750X, and I just installed the CTX700 clutch cable which is 100mm/4in longer -- it works great! It's part number 22870-MJF-A30 CABLE, CLUTCH (Honda), cost is about $25 USD.

Agreed. I know this is an old post but I have the same mod on my 2012 using the 22870-MJF-A30. I also had a Stainless brake line made 3" longer and clipped the wire retainers on the frame on both sides of the steering head.

Also note that the CTX700 throttle cables are about 80mm lomnger than the NC's. I changed to CTX throttle cables because I have about 81mm (3.2 inches) of handlebar rise.

Where did you find the longer throttle cables?
Ordered them from an on-line Honda parts supplier, probably either procaliber.com or rockymountainatvmc.com

Does the year of the ctx parts matter in relationship to year of NC700 or NC750

I think the CTX only had a clutch 'til 2016, they were all DCT after that. I had no problem with 2016 CTX parts on my 2012 700 but have no idea about the NC750's. From the quote you have sounds like they work just as well, at least for that generation.

I will say though, that you can gain a bunch of throttle length if you put the throttle cables under the right hand controls (instead of in the front), but you will have to drill a new hole for the internal tab. It's small.
