Inner Handlebar weights-Removal

I am looking for the quickest and easiest method to remove the OEM inner handlebar weights and bar ends and replace them with after market bar ends, bar end weight retainers and handguards. I would like to accomplish this without unglueing the left rubber hand grip and completely removing the throttle pipe. Maybe lift and slide the outer end of the left rubber hand grip and/or slide the throttle pipe inward to expose the inner weight retainer rings, and then use a screwdriver to release the retainer rings.
Any ideas or suggestions to accomplish this will be greatly appreciated.
