Just fitted a Hyperpro Streetbox to my '22. Pleased with the smoother less harsh new fork springs and oil. Can anyone who's fitted the rear shock kindly give me the setting they ended up with on the rebound damping adjuster? I've found a rough idea of a sweet spot (around 24 clicks EDIT) but not stopped fiddling yet and I'd like to compare it with other users. I weigh about 90 kg (190lbs) including kit.

I too am around 90kg fully kitted-up. I have my Hyperpro Shock set exactly mid-way. Tried lots of other settings. Towards the softer end - there was too much wallowing - harder and the ride was jarring.

We're talking UK roads that are very pot-holed.

The Hyperpro fork springs were originally fitted with 10W fork oil [as supplied with the springs]. And it was still too harsh. I've now changed that for Motul 7.5W fork oil and it's better.

Just for the record - these were the before and after measurements on the forks:

“Before”

Full Extension 150mm

Static [No] Load 121mm [-29mm]

With Rider 104mm [17mm vs static and 46mm vs Full Extension]

“After”

Full Extension 150mm

Static [No] Load 136mm [-14mm]

With Rider 118mm [18mm vs static and 32mm vs Full Extension

I think this is as far as I will go with suspension mods on this bike for now.

Interesting and appreciated. I've also found the mid point (24 out of 48 clicks) to probably be the best compromise but am currently trying 19 clicks (more damping) and 27 clicks (less damping) to get a proper impression of each.

Whilst I noticed an immediate improvement with the new springs I've also wondered whether 7.5W fork oil might be more suitable. I'll wait a while before deciding to change.
