Ever since I started riding about 15 years ago, I have been trying to get to every state to ride at least a little bit. I try to plan my long trips to get to states I haven't seen yet. Here is my map of states I've ridden in (olive drab) or at least been to (bright green). I'm at 28 states ridden in and 35 overall having either lived or visited. (Lived in SD, then NV, ND and MN while in USAF, and now WI). I've got 3 areas of the country to figure out how to ride in, how about you?

Took my first out of state motorcycle trip in 1969 on a CB 350 Honda. My wife and I took our first out of state motorcycle trip together in 1973 on an RD 350 Yamaha. I've ridden to 43 states and ridden in all 48 of the lower states, plus the U.P and Washington DC.

One year my wife and I towed our ST 1300 to a friend's house in Montana and left the truck/trailer at his house while we toured the northwest... Montana, Idaho, Washington, Oregon and Montana, and one year my wife and I towed our Triumph Bonneville to Arizona so we could tour all the National Parks in Utah and AZ. I have since ridden solo to those states. Other than those two tows I have ridden from Ohio to everywhere. I once rode from Ohio to California because I wanted to dip my toe in the Pacific Ocean lol. 11 days 5,500 miles.

My wife and I have also toured 5 countries in Europe (Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Lichtenstein and France). I wanted to tour the Alps on a BMW ever since I was maybe 10 years old and finally made it happen. Also ridden to 2 provinces of Canada. I'd like to ride the rest of the Canada provinces especially the western ones, but I'm afraid due to age/health issues my days of ultra long distance touring are behind me now. Still pondering if I can somehow get that done.

Only 13 :(
I think maybe I should take a trip before it gets too cold. I have been itching to.
Considering I lived in FL, CO, and now TN it's hard to say which I've ridden to or in...

Ridden to 28 states and took a ship to Mexico and the Bahamas where I rented scooters. Met some interesting fellows riding on a Honda on the Cozumel beach road.

So many great things to see in this country and so many great roads .....................

I have visited all 50 US states, and all but one Canadian province (maybe knock out that Manitoba on the Goldwing next spring). All of the Canadian provinces I’ve been to have also been done on motorcycle.

I have ridden my Goldwing 1800 in 33 of the US states. I have also ridden dual sport in Baja, Mexico. The NC has been to the Canadian Maritime provinces. I have lists and maps, but they’re not easily uploaded to the forum right now

LOL some people just have to have their tunes while riding

13 is more than most people I think, hopefully your area of TN is not in the area where all the damage has been done recently...
All good here. I would say I truly 'live to ride' so I do what I can when I can. Most vacation trips are with my wife though, and the wife usually likes to take the car...

All that said, I have officially logged 76,195 mi over the past 14 years (mostly commuting) which does not include an estimated 6,000 on my 1st bike that I did not track.

Yes, miles ridden is another interesting data point. I have ridden about a third of a milliion miles on motorcycles and scooters. (I’m sure many others have beaten that). In addition, I’ve driven around 1.25 million miles in cars, trucks, vans, RVs, etc. I never had a job with which I could commute to work by motorcycle (had to drive company car/van), so all of my motorcycle miles were for pleasure.

Having racked up a bit over 870,000 miles on vacations, 3 Iron Butt Rallies, and a boat load of other club rallies, I've managed to ride through 49 states. I need to take the young lady to a warm tropical place that she'd enjoy and rent a bike while there.
I've added the Canadian provinces from Ontario westward. Some of those were brief visits, but I was there. I need to make a trek into the eastern half of Canada (QC and east) to complete that. That's assuming, as I've heard, there are no roads into Nunavut. I had that trip planned a few years ago and then the border was closed due to COVID. Now I need to reschedule it.
I've only ridden into Mexico one time, and that was from southern California and no further south than Tijuana.

I never kept track of car mileage but I did have a fleet car 24/7 from my employer and averaged 30,000 miles year for 35 years or 1,050,000 miles in a Crown Vic or Mercury Marquis.

Yes, I was interested in Nunavut, but discovered that there are no roads there (that go anywhere). So I don’t count the Canadian territories in my total (although I have been to Yukon); I just count the provinces.

With regards to mileage, I started riding in May 1965 (59 years ago), but I have only kept written records for the last 16. Since Jan 1, 2008, I have ridden 304,871 miles as of yesterday's ride. I've averaged 19,054 miles a year since I started keeping written records. 42 unrecorded years at a conservative 12,000 miles a year would add 504,000 miles to that total.
