Installed the new speed sensor Thursday night. Rode to and from work yesterday, problem solved, everything back to normal. Thanks to everyone for their help and suggestions!

Great.
That part gets brought up quickly as the culprit on cages also. Heat where the VS sensor lives seems to be a parts' enemy.

There was a model year that had a recall. Someone smarter than I can probably supply the year

2014 instrument pod replaced under recall
