Fuse box

Time for an embarrassing question.. How do you remove the fuse box cover? Does the battery need to be removed first? It's snug as a bug next to the battery. I slid a screwdriver between the fuse box and battery and managed to get a quarter inch gap now between battery and fuse box. Manual just says "remove the fuse box cover" but doesn't explain how.. Do I need to depress the clips on the outside of the cover... ?

Got into the fuse box finally.. took a chance with screw driver on top of box - pressed down at the back and managed to wiggle it off.
