do that with ones built of ABS pipe and you've likely got engine/crash guards ; }

I might do the same. I need some wind deflectors for my legs in the winter time and more storage is always better. i do have an engine guard already so i will see what I can do. Thanks for the idea and the pictures. BTW, I was down in Greenville last Wed. at Cycle Gear and also at Powersports next store where I was trying to get to lower the price on the 2013 fjr.

It works! it actually deflect the air. It's welding rod canister from harbor freight, hose clamp and electrical tape for wrapping the hose clamp with it.

For a cleaner finish I like to grind off the excess, best to remove the clamp for grinding.

It's one plus 3, its been a great phone, I have unlimited data on Criket and used it as hotspot at home connected to my ps4, watch netflix and hulo with no problem.

Bump as I contemplate ABS pipe versions that are pulled a little further back so that a lie-down-has less chance of mashing into the side of the radiator...

Great idea. I'd remove the electrical tape from the hose clamps and cover them with heat shrink tubing. Looks much better and last longer with less sticky mess than tape.

Keep the suggestion coming is still in prototypes stage so more ideas the better it will be, thanks guy's.

I put a pair on my Givi crash bars to similar effect. A bit more turbulence than a scooter or other bike with aerodynamic lowers, but a welcome wind break in the winter...

i'm actually haven't abandoned (yet) this idea and currently working (slowly) on bigger and better version of this "universal" side deflector \ side protection thingy. if all goes well will cost less than a half of OEM deflector and as i said-you can stick it to any bike. doesn't fit or don't like the curves? cut it with a knife or scissors. will be about 2.5" wide with a main goal to protect\break the wind that comes to the knee

here is few pics
