Cardo Joins Subscription Model

just saw Cardo's announcement of their the new headset, the Cardo Packtalk Custom, that adopts a "subscription model" where you buy the headset for $270 and it comes with basic functions, then you subscribe for one of 3 "packages" that add features (Silver, Gold and Platinum at $20, $30, and $40 per year). I'm glad I got my "full featured" Cardo Packtalk Black last year. I paid $250 for it.

I fear this subscription nonsense will be the adopted by more and more companies.
