Can we show cars on this forum??

Here's one for all you guys and gals Stateside - the American car scene is big in the UK and here's a small selection of my fotos of the US entries this year at the world's "largest one day classic car show" last Sunday.

A great day out - cars, bikes and 28deg C......! Perfect!

Well, there was a 6.6 Trans Am (as in "Smokey and the Bandit") but didn't get a pic of that one.

Nice. My cousing used to own one. Totalled it. I just sold this car prior to moving to Arkansas. It is the sixth Firebird I have owned and restored. Trying to decide if I want to buy another classic car or another bike.

Sweet! Didn’t know American cars very popular over the pond. Where I grew up MGs, Bug Eye Sprites, Healeys, etc were popular.
Here is my 79 Camaro which is currently on blocks in the back yard and an Opel GT which I no longer own.

What's up with the Camaro? Are you gonna freshen her up a bit?

Long term goal is to strip her down and rebuild. My mom got her when I was 13. Took my driving test in her and she became my daily driver from ’88-‘01. Now she sits on blocks and hasn’t been started in 10 years.

You'd be surpirsed. I was stationed in Italy back in 1989 to 1993. I took a 1975 Pontiac Firebird with me. It had the Pontiac 350 engine (not chevy). While there I bought a 1986 Pontiac Transa Am with the 5.0L Crossfire Injection (bought from my boss). Everywhere I went I was stopped. People always wanting to look at the cars. I went to places like Pisa, Venice, Rome, Paris, Munich and such and when I get back to my car I would have crowds standing around it. Several occassion I was pulled over by police whether it was Germany, Poland, or Czech. I would aslways get a warning but spent 15 minutes showing the car. I recieved several offeres during my tour and finally ended up selling the 75. I brought the Trans Am back to the states. So somewhere in Italy is the 1975 Firebird.

BTW, When I was in Iraq I saw several 55-57 Chevys. They were not in good shape though. Mostly used as taxi's.

my favorite car is this one..

That red Mustang is in mint condition and, being the model that it is, would cost you in the region of £30,000 over here.
