Hi All

How do you undo those black plasic fastners that hold the upper body work together?

I believe you just poke in the center with a small screwdriver and the pull them out. But they tend to be one time use, so have new on hand before you tear into it.

The Honda owners manual has a page that shows how to operate the fasteners. To remove, press the center bar down a couple millimeters, then pull the fastener out. To reset, spread the two lower tabs slightly and raise the center bar a couple millimeters above the cap. Insert fastener, then press the center bar flush with the cap. They are good for hundreds of uses. In 8 years and many, many panel removals, I have never broken one or damaged one. I expect them to last the life of the motorcycle. When you know how they work, it takes two seconds to reset them.
