So far, so good. Less adept at fast 80mph highway speeds on windy days than my strom is, but I like the lighter feel and better mpg. Though, that's all over the map. Some tanks I get as low as 52mpg which isn't horrible, but mostly hovering around 65mpg.
I knew this would not be the best high speed highway bike competing with semi-trucks etc. when I bought it. That's why I'm choosing 2-lanes whenever possible & finding better images as well.
I'm liking my compact setup too without side bags. Much easier to fit through narrow spots & lane-splitting when necessary. Also easier to find a place to tuck it away during storms without side panniers & when I go to Mexico, will be easier to fit into motel room doorways when allowed.
I'm carrying everything I need too, including photo/video/ipad tent, air mattress, hammock, sleeping bag rated at 30f, air compressor, tools, etc.

Thanks! Yes, I just stop if I see something really good. Or, park in a town and just walk around.

I live in Webster which is between Houston and Galveston. If you are ever in this area again let me know. I know of places in this area that I would love to see your camera paint. Masion Rouge, the site of the home of pirate Jean Lafitte, is on Galveston Island. This site needs your camera ability to bring it to the publics eye. The wood cravings of Galveston could also use your talents. You have a great camera eye.
