About to mount the new Pilot Road 4. Gotta heat that baby up before mounting since it's been on the cold concrete floor all night, should make it a little easier.

If things go right, the front tire should be here tomorrow, mount it tomorrow night, then hopefully make a trip to Deals Gap middle of the week.

If I was not travelling, I would meet you there.

I’ve mounted three PR4s and they are the easiest motorcycle tire I’ve mounted. The sidewalls are very soft and flexible. It’s like mounting a radial car tire. Heating them may not even be necessary.

When I saw a No-Mar guy demo mount and dismount a tire all day long at a motorcycle show, guess what he chose? A PR4.
That was the easiest tire I have ever mounted too, wow! Very little effort required. Didn't realize they were that soft. Kinda has me wondering how I will like the handling. Of course, the Road 5's were pretty soft mounting too, so probably will have similar feel.

If I was not travelling, I would meet you there.
I'm still trying to decide what days to go and where to stay. Kinda want to hit the casino in Murphy NC too, but really shouldn't and save that money LOL. I'm off all week, so I'm gonna try to get gone for a couple days regardless though.

Depends on what you want to do. If you plan on the casino or the Wheels Through Time museum in Maggie Valley, you might want to look at Robbinsville or Murphy. If you are riding the gap or the skyway you could stay in Sweetwater or Tellico Plains.
Oh yeah, I go up there often and know all the areas well. I usually either stay in Maryville/Alcoa or Murphy, but I usually only stay in Murphy if I plan to hit the casino there the first night. I often stay at the Mainstay Inn and Suites in Alcoa since it's right across the road from Texas Roadhouse.

If I do go, riding the Skyway and Deals Gap is usually a must. Also love stopping in at Ironworks Grill there in Tellico for dinner and a beer or two on the way up or back home. Temps are supposed to be in the 50's with no rain this week, so I see no reason not to make the trip!

Put on a Seat Concepts seat, sat on it, feels better, when the weather improves, I'll take it for a ride. I may have a Sergeant seat for sale if this one works out.
I've had one for a few years now, I'm pretty content with it. Wish the foam density was a little more plush, but love the shape and flat profile of it.

Today's 47 mile ride on the NC took me over the 16,000 mark for the year on my 3 bikes combined. About 4,000 miles below my normal yearly average, but I missed most of March and April with some health issues, so I'll take it!

Good for you my friend, i'm still under snow and severe weather warnings for the PNW. I laugh at the new meteorologists that all seem to make it up here and then leave 6mo later haha. I'd call the storm just a typical Winter Wednesday! This coming weekend and first of next week it'll dip down to single digits and more with the windchill. So, the NC is still safe under the backyard cover... :{p

I installed the GIVI rear rack I purchased with money from the swear jar I filled installing the center stand. The top box is a JC Whitney case I purchased 14 years ago. It will only be on the bike when I need the extra space.

Installed a Madstad windscreen and handlebar GPS RAM mount today.
Completing another youtube video on the fuse block and wiring, and uploading it as we speak.
Next is the Atlas throttle lock, lowered front footpegs, and the corresponding rear brake pedal height adjustment.
Installed my Madstad last Friday! Was wondering about the adjustment for the rear brake pedal. I just got back from a ride where I was trying out a new pair of boots. Soles a quite a bit thicker then my old ones and I need to lower that brake pedal or at least put more free play in the lever. With these new boots I'm right on top of the brake pedal now. I can't seem to see any way to adjust the brake pedal down.

2012 NC700X - Just wanted to upload pictures with wire colors / locations for tapping into the brake light.

I added the Givi E94 light kit to the Givi top case trunk E450N. E94 is an old number is old because I bought it 10 years ago with the top case and finally installing it. As usual it took hours and cam with minimal directions. Old plastic of the trunk was brittle and the plastic knockouts were extremely difficult to snap-off. The SW-Motech plate's knockout was also extremely difficult to remove. Wire diagram was confusing, the manual did not see a list the non-ABS.

Well I didn't go to Deal's Gap, ended up just going to casino and home (about a 3 hr drive, so still plenty riding). Was gonna wake up yesterday morning and head to Deal's Gap from the casino but it was 27 degrees outside, so I ended up sleeping another couple hours til it warmed up a bit and headed home. Still had some good curve action riding by the Ocoee, and the Pilot Road 4's felt great!

Took a nice ride on the NC today as my midwest (USA) temperature reached the upper 50sF. I should also be able to ride it tomorrow. These opportunities come up, and I’m ready to go, because I don’t ever winterized or put the NC into hibernation.

Sorry, no picture.
