SOLD - 2014 Honda NC700x

As much as I know I'll regret parting with it, I'm selling my 2014 Honda NC700X. I's been an utterly fantastic bike for the past 14,688 miles. Lots of upgrades listed below, plus all the original parts, replacement high quality chain and front/rear sprocket for when it's time (caught these on sale, so grabbed them as spares), sizable collection of OEM screws/washers/etc (ordered these just in case). Bike is in excellent condition, has zero mechanical issues, I wouldn't hesitate to hop on this gal and ride to CA and back, but she did take a light love tap to the front turn signal on the left side (see odometer photo) and I just haven't gotten around to fixing it.

My apologies for the sideways pics, I forgot how to make vertical pics stay upright. If you want more pics of the bike or accessories, let me know.

I also forgot to mention that I just called the dealer and she's still under a fully transferable factory warranty through American Honda Motor Co until April of 2021.

Where did you get your longer clutch cable for the Rox Risers install ?

Motion Pro can make you any cable you want any length you want. You may need to send them the cable and tell them how much longer to make it. Just depends on whether they have made it before and hand the fittings available.

I believe a ctx clutch cable will do what you want.

That's exactly right. After I put the risers on mine the OEM clutch cable frayed out in about 2000 miles. I searched around and found a thread on this forum about subbing out the OEM cable for the clutch cable from a Honda CTX. It worked like a charm. I have almost 10K miles on the CTX cable and it looks brand new.

Are you looking to get another bike or just selling what you have and taking a hiatus?

Truth be told, I upgraded last summer to a Yamaha Super Tenere. Turns out I like the S10 so much that when I totaled it last fall (stupid cager with no insurance, expired tags, and suspended/revoked license tried to kill me from a side street), I took the insurance money and bought another identical to the one I lost.

I kept the NC this long thinking there'd be times I'd want to ride it instead, but I was wrong. I rode it while I was shopping for a replacement S10, but had just gotten so used to the big bike that it just didn't feel right for me. It just took me a while to admit to myself that I don't need 3 bikes, so I'm keeping the S10 and the KLR (for now) and selling the Honda.

I think you hit the nail on the head that people don't know about this bike. Good luck with the sale of the bike. I think you have it priced right.
