    Honda SERIOUSLY!!!!!!!

+ 1 on the oil filter pliers. Fits em all, apply as much or as little effort as you need. Have had one for years and use it on all my spin-ons.

    X-Ring Chain Disintegrate?

Nitrile glove - inside of an old sock (or rag if I’m out of socks) and gear oil. Wipe the chain down. Never needed a brush.

    NC750X manual Power thoughts

105? 125?? Well, y’all just wave as you go by. I’m just happy as a clam poking along and taking in the sights. I think somebody all ready said it, but the NC is just a great “all-round” ride. It has something for everyone. Even those speed demons!

    Tail bag

To me, the slotted rails on the frunk lid of the 2016 models was a smart innovation. I don’t understand why Honda dropped that feature. The dedicated bag that was made for it in the aftermarket worked great. A small tank bag really does come in handy on a trip. Even with the frunk.

OEM Center stand is a little sketchy IMO

Makes a body wonder…. I would never have thought of mine as being easy to roll off the center stand. It takes a pretty good bit of oomph,

    News Story

What passes for journalists and news these days is a joke… I can just see the control freaks in the legislature rubbing their hands together at the prospect of a new bill to curb this threat to society Hopefully the kiddies in the back seat were appropriately strapped into their rear-facing...

    Question DCT downhill engine braking

That is why I always apply the brakes in this situation to give the engine braking some assistance. I wouldn’t normally allow the bike to just continue to the bottom of the hill un-assisted by me on the brakes - knowing that the hill is too steep for the bike to completely and adequately hold...

2014 NC700XD Ca-chunk, ca-chunk sound when the ignition is turned to "on" not start.

Neutral before shutting off saves some work for the battery the next time you turn the key on. And if the battery happens to choose that next start-up to say “nope, it ain’t happenin’”, at least you’ll already be in neutral and able to move easily.

    Question DCT downhill engine braking

These hills are just what you’re looking for. ;-) I’m certain that if the DCT was ever going to shift on its own while coming down a mountain it would have done so rather than screaming along at almost 4500rpm in second gear. I don’t know about “incline sensors”, I really haven’t read up on all...

    Question DCT downhill engine braking

Let’s see if this helps. To leave or enter the area where we live there are two very steep and very long hills. It’s the low mountainous region around Birmingham. After reading your question, I’ve made it a point to see just what the DCT does in D mode if “left to its own device”. Normally as I...

    Ignition Switch Issues

Check the easy stuff first and the area most recently “touched”. With the symptoms you describe, my money is on the battery terminals. Disconnect the terminals. Clean them and the cable ends up with a wire brush. Re-attach and get em tight.

Which type of Master Link is this? I'm just learning about the new Rivet typs

One thing for sure, using the clips will sure shorten the installation time. I may have been a little too meticulous with the rivet install as I measured numerous times while mushrooming the rivets. No regrets, but it took considerable time and patience.
