Replaced the stock mirrors with doubletake
I took mine off, loved them on my dirt bikes, but didn't work well for me on the NC.
I am curious of your opinion after a 1000 miles.
Good for you, I have enjoyed the RR.
I rode the north half of the WABDR on a XR650L and dropped it a few times. I couldn't imagine the whole road and and luggage you had on a NC.
Real proof of the bike and you and Troy.
You guys ride safe and have fun.
Work got in the way or I would be there with you.
So take me along in spirit and keep all of us updated and the pictures coming
I only got 3500 on TKC not the K60 that Northwest runs.
I ran about 1/2 of the 3500 on dirt and gravel. Great tire in all conditions and wet weather was good. I went back to OEM for now, lots of pavement this year. I use my XR650L for the dirt and gravel for now.
Montana issues a permanent plate when you first license the bike, and then you are done. No more registrations and no inspections, unless you want to license a bike for the street that the manufacturer never intended for the street. 5 minute look over by the local cop and on your way.

Did you use the MRA, bolt or clamp? I put the bolt on one and was happy with the noise and turbulence change. It was lower than I thought due to narrowness of the tall screen. Overall pleased.
??
What are you looking at? Don't see one on your list.
I am still contemplating trailering my 650L to Ellensberg and riding it on this trip. Seems a little unfair to NC riders.
Practice?
You may try to practice in the dirt a little bit. I would say that learning the limits of the brakes and tires playing in the dirt is good practice. Then a parking lot or deserted road will also allow you to push the limits and feel your way around the bike. I have locked up both...
They closed the Beartooth Pass this week from snow. I rode the north section of WABDR in mid July last year and it was wet with snow here and there. Not impassable just interesting.
