    rolling friction key off

Fred, The kill switch only kills the engine. The rest of the bike gets normal power. You still have to turn the key off to save your battery.

Has DCT technology changed much over the last few years?

Agreed, the 2016 NC700 is probably programmed better/smoother with the additional sport modes, but the 2012-2015 Nc700s are the same in the US. I don't think the brand new one is worth the 8-9k premium over buying a used 2012/2013.

    Highway Peg Options

I use MRW highway pegs from Twisted Throttle. About $120 and it does use a U bolt design to fit multiple bar sizes, but it is black, and does lock in the upwards position.

2016: What did you do to/with your NC700 today?

Installed some MFW footpegs this weekend on my SW Motech crash bars. I was starting to get cramped up after 3-4 hours of riding, although my Shad seat made a big improvement.

Has anyone removed the silver panels on a 45 liter top box?

If you don't mind a slightly smaller box, a box from a PCX150 will also bolt to the NC700. Honda Top Box 35L One Key System Type Honda PCX150 | eBay

2016: What did you do to/with your NC700 today?

Installed the MRA sport X-creen visor. At 65-75 mph I get buffeting with the stock Touring windscreen, I am hoping the visor will help with that. Will get to try it out this weekend as I go on a 500 mile trip of mostly interstate.

Anyone have off-hand knowledge? Parking Brake Pads Part Number? (2014 DCT)

only (slightly) off topic, but has anyone had any issues with the parking brake losing tension after repeated use? I've had to adjust it rather frequently on mine. Could it be an issue with a fraying cable perhaps?

Complete Idiot's Guide to Shock Replacement: where would I find it?

When I did mine, I ended up taking the right side plastics off to get to the top shock bolt. Couldn't figure out how to finangle anything in there under the plastic. The bottom of the shock and linkages were pretty self explanatory. The plastics are only held on by something like 6 allen bolts...

Tips, Tricks, Advice learned from experience

I hope you are kidding. I started out riding scooters. I wave to everyone, scooters or harley. we are all on two wheels, and are all just as likely to get smashed by the Suburban who is texting and not paying attention. No need to hate just because a scooter rider prefers a CVT trans and built...

Wiring LED Lights with Honda's Acc Harness

I use the same Model 21 LEDs and I have the older Skene IQ-175 controller, and I don't get any flicker at all on my 2012 NC when the engine is running. it almost sounds like a bad connection somewhere?

LED headlight installed and a tail-light question

Probably says that because they don't give out a white light to light up the license plate on motorcycles like our NC.

    Kickstand removal

It's really not that hard. There's about 6 allen head bolts and 3-4 plastic pushpins and the side panel comes off. you do it once or twice and it becomes second nature.

LED headlight installed and a tail-light question

Nice Rainier, you're copying me. I also have a light from Advmonster, and the Backoff XP flasher. I used the compartment that is above the rear tire, coming in from underneath. I simply cut the wires and added bullet connectors to connect them to the backoff flasher.

    Kickstand removal

You already removed the nut on the outside, now you have to remove the bolt that the nut was attached to. On the backside of the bolt, behind the kickstand, is the kick stand kill switch. You'll see a little bolt holding the switch to the kickstand. Remove the little bolt (8mm socket) first...
