    Opinions wanted: Wilbers socks

Vacillating between the 640 and 641. We have pretty rough roads up here in Seattle and I often carry a lot of gear/groceries. Sometimes ride with a passenger. Is the 641 overkill in your opinion? It's about a $250 difference between the two if they are both hooked up with a remote preload...

It was not meant to last

If it were mine, I'd take it to a Honda dealer, have the work done and rest in the knowledge that the bike has been measured, checked and scrutinized better than it was when it was first assembled. Are you getting any insurance money to cover the damage?

    NC700X First Impressions

Thanks banamate! I'll have the shop check the throttle cable play when it goes in for its first service.

    NC - Swiss Army Bike

Yeah, if you use the link BELOW the roundel. I just figured it out. Since Swiss Army Bike was highlighted, I clicked on it. Should have waited till the link at the bottom.

    NC - Swiss Army Bike

Hmm. That link took me to Amazon for Wire Terminal Extractors, not the sticker. Darn! You aren't making it easy, that's for sure.

    NC700X First Impressions

Maybe it's the Power Commander that allowed the V-Strom to operate so smoothly (not at 3k rpm, though!) at low rpms. The NC seems to keep surging when I hold steady throttle at near or below 2k rpm. I found the PC to be a big help with the Strom and greatly improved it's engine behavior, which...

    NC700X First Impressions

Forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong forum, as I'm fairly new here. Got my NC700X just a few weeks ago and though that's not enough time to say I know it completely, here are some initial comparisons I can make with it and my other bike, a 2012 Suzuki V-Strom 650 and other bikes I've ridden...

    Ricor Intiminators installed

But how do you set the sag if you are unable to adjust the preload on the forks? Inquiring mind want to know!

    Is rear shock adjustable?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you have it backwards. For bumpier roads, you want more, not less sag. Track racers use less sag, for a stiffer shock. Off-road riders set the shock with more sag for a more compliant ride.

    Rambling thoughts on our NC700's

The ultimate street fighter Many people, including journalists and mc manufacturers, view motorcycles as a sport you enjoy when you are not driving your car. Like on the weekend when it's sunny out. Well, there are many, such as myself, that see motorcycles as a viable ALTERNATIVE to cars and...

    Misplaced Review threads?

Why are there a bunch of product reviews under the "NC700 News" section? Shouldn't they be here, under "Product Reviews"? Am I missing something? Thanks!

    nc750x as a dirt bike

https://rideapart.com/articles/rideapart-review-honda-nc700x But hey, this is ONLY a 700. But it is 10 pounds lighter than the 750, so conceivably it would handle better off road riding. This is definitely NOT a good bike for jumping.

    Honda Recalls over 45,000 motorcycles

Very interesting. Thanks so much for sharing this. Are there any other recalls affecting the NC700s, for any model years?

    Windscreen's Let's see em

Why do you want to trim off more? Is it interfering with your sight of objects in the distance or is it too restrictive of air flow? Would you recommend getting their shorter windshield?

    Hepco & Becker Skid Plate

Looks good to me. I've been vacilating between the Hepco & Becker and the SW-Motech. Since I believe the HB is made in Germany and the Motech in China (as the last several items I bought from them were), I'll probably get the HB. Any comments?

    Hepco & Becker Engine Guard

I agree with ricksride. Looks like it doubles as an engine guard AND a light bar. Looks like you could clamp lights to the top portion under the beak.

    New member welcome thread..

Hi. I live in Seattle, WA. My main bike (I don't own a car) is a 2012 Suzuki V-Strom 650. I hope to buy a Honda NC700X soon and make that my main, get around the county bike and save the V-Strom for longer trips with gear and/or a passenger. But, we'll see how much I like the NC. Maybe I won't...
