Hello i have a red right tail with damage, a red right shroud with just paint damage. A clean factory muffler. And a factory shock. If you're interested in any of this let me know. Thanks
I was reading the original post and I was thinking to myself. The guy just needs an africa twin. Low and behold he mentioned the AT is plush. I got rid of my AT as I thought it was too plush and too off-road oriented for my riding and just modified my NC with cogent parts and it's been much...
I went 1 tooth down on the front and it made a significant difference in performance and being able to wind out 6th gear. I believe I tried to go 2 teeth and the computer was all confused and shifting was all off.
I read up on the G Switch - gravel mode. It basically allows a lot less clutch slip than the normal modes, which is is why you pretty much can't loft the wheel of the nc700. maybe a combination of many things.. who know.
Yeah the crazy iron ones are definitely more slimmer fitting than the kijima with the big hoops. However, the kijima may be a good spot for some highway pegs? Anyone done that?
I have the delkevic 13" tri oval in all stainless. It fits well, looks good, has 2 levels of noise depending on your mood with the included baffle. with the baffle its just enough over stock to make it entertaining. Without the baffle its not obnoxious, just more volume, sounds good either way...
I think your problem is D - drive mode.... just drive around in S - sport mode... Solved any casual/lazy/lugging shifting for me. But really I just prefer the more engine braking instead of freewheeling, and well the significant increase in power at all times. I only use Drive for really slow...
To reference the Ford DCT issues... those are a dry clutch DCT. They were going for longevity, ease of maintenance ( No expensive DSG fluid changes, etc ) however that is currently biting ford in the butt as consumers aren't used to the nature of the transmission and yes it is pretty herky...
I've taken the DCT just into some dirt woods paths. I have a few observations... the DCT in manual mode is competent, but however you lack any clutch control... which is good and bad. you get high centered pretty easily, and despite the low center of gravity... its just a very large bike for...
Go to the 15t front sprocket. It will pull 6th gear, it's not rocket ship fast but you can break 100. Without it I could maybe creep to 90. Oh and keep it in sport mode....drive mode passes are umm....casual :p
I have a delkevic tri-oval. with the baffle its a nice sound over stock. without the baffle its pretty burly, I enjoy it as well. Has the tab, isn't crazy expensive.
