    2020 CB500X?

How are the pants working out? I forgot about that. Kind of wish I had them my zipped blew out the on the day on my Fieldsheer but I do have a pair of Klim as a backup. So if you had to choose one bike, your NC or the new CB, which one? Thank you for your insight. I actually just sold my...

    2020 CB500X?

Your dimensions are exactly what mine are. Hopefully the test ride will be more favorable to me.

    2020 CB500X?

Thanks Thanks for the reply. A friend at work bought a 2018 CB and I was quite surprised by it. When the new updates came out it became a winner to me because of the 19" front , longer travel suspension and a bump in the HP. Hopefully will do a test ride soon but travel restrictions because...

    2020 CB500X?

Thinking of making the jump to the CB500X. Wondering if I'll regret that decision. I'm test riding the new CB in a couple of weeks. A couple of thing that I've read is that it's a more responsive fun ride. I would lose the funk which I will miss and straight line performance between the...

    Honda's new CB4X concept!

Couldn't agree more. Kind of reminds me of my old Vstrom with it' bulbous front end. Also thinking the center of gravity would be rather high.

What makes the o-rings in a chain split?

My 2014 has over 40,000 kilometer on it and I'm still running the original chain and sprockets. Most of the miles have been from very long tours I've taken and commuting. I clean often with WD40 or varsol and lubes after.

How about a game of NC tag? Its a lot of fun!

Sorry but my last ride I wasnt able to snap a pic of the bike and a logging truck. I passed about a dozen of them but didn't see one that was stopped

How about a game of NC tag? Its a lot of fun!

Give it until Monday or Tuesday. I have a ton of logging trucks in my area and have to go for a long ride on one of those two days.

What does a 68 000km old Airfilter look like?

I've got about 40,000 kilometers on mine and when I checked it I returned it back to service. Very clean with just a bit of dust which I blew out.

    has anyone changed a CB500x for a NC750x???

I had initially look at getting the CRF250 because it performed better engine wise than the KLX250. The KLX in stock configuration was the slowest bike I had ever ridden. Street buses were quicker. With the big bore kit the bike is now "normal".

    Great Lakes Tour

It get better north of Duluth on the way to Thunder Bay. Nice curvy roads and great scenery with lots of places to stop. Take your time and enjoy this section.

    has anyone changed a CB500x for a NC750x???

Well said. My experience has also been the same. Over my riding career I always had been looking for that bigger bike. After my crash with my heavily modified FZ1 and some painful broken ribs my trend has been to go with smaller and more capable bikes. I think my next step may be the CB500...

    Carpal Tunnel Surgery?

So I just had my carpal tunnel surgery last week and I'm off work for 3 months for it to heal. I'm an auto tech by trade and do a lot of heavy type work. For those that have had the surgery how long did you wait until you started riding again?

Trying to reduce vibrations in the handlebars

I think the problem may be with your hands and not the bike. I just had carpal tunnel surgery two days ago and never had an issue when I rode my bike.

    Overpant Recommendation

Klim, has Gortex and is guaranteed to be waterproof. It's a little more expensive but you will only buy it once and will be very satisfied. Before I finally bit the bullet and bought Klim I had worn many different pants and jackets trying to find the right ones. I've now had my Klim for over...

NC750X (2017) LED lights are weak

What LED bulbs did you use for the turn/marker lights on the front? What bulbs did you use for the rear signals and brake/marker? How did you solve the hyper flash when using LEDs for the signal? Thanks

How Far Off Pavement Do You Take Your NC700X?

If your planning to do some off pavement exploring it's best done on a lighter more capable bike. You definitely can use the NC in loose rock, mud and steep hills but your not going to enjoy yourself and you could possibly hurt the bike or yourself. I bought a dedicated off road dual sport for...

Down and out for a while.

Never really had a problem with merging even in heavy traffic. I believe most people do accommodate motorcycles merging. Turn your signal on and most will allow you in and then I give then a friendly wave. I have more than 40 years of riding experience and have done many tours throughout the...
