I have only sat on one once at a Honda dealership, the tank was half full, I found the bike at 5'-8" to be very top heavy. A friend of mine has one and loves it. He redid the wiring on his bike and just for giggles he weighed the headlight housing and said it weighed 38 lbs.

I was just looking at Dowco covers to replace the cover I discarded and just to complicate matters Dowco now makes a cover that zippers closed over the rear of the bike.

I tried using a backpack on a long trip but took it off after 100 miles on that ride and strapped it to the rear seat. I attached an extension tube that was covered with foam insulation to keep the water in the line from heating up.
