Thank you for the replies everyone. Looks like the concern i had is nothing to worry about. The NC is a wonderful bike and a joy to ride. Even tho weather is still decent here i have put bike away for
winter. Did approx 6700km this year. First service was at 1k km. Before putting it away i did...
The 2016 NC750X was the first time the DCT was available in Canada.
The differences i can see are:
the seat is redesigned. More flat and sloped toward rear compared to more U shaped on the 2016.
2018 has 2 modes of traction control plus can turn off
2018 has a raise of rev limiter from...
heh heh. Relax Dreamer. If you read my full OP you will see that yes i did trade the 2016 NC in on the Yamaha in 2017. In 2018 i traded the Yamaha in for a new NC750X DCT.
I do love the NC and it is a Honda so on the one hand i figured it would be ok after all. And if there were many problems...
From reading the thread about DCT problems and looking over the pictures of the sheer number of parts / sensors / devices used to keep the DCT working, gives me a bit of concern about the long term
reliability of the DCT bikes.
Back in April 2017 i did sell my 2016 NC750X DCT for a Yamaha...
something wrong with your bike? Are yours as bright as mine?
2018 NC750X. This is the Low beam headlight only. Turn signals just the running light. No turn signal is activated in this picture. I had to move to get a side
angle picture as head on was too bright for the camera
hello Pianoman. Seems like a good modification. But for me, i do not see me constantly changing my screen. Once i have it set i will leave it alone.
Also with the nobs it does make it easy for someone to remove (steal) your screen.
website is back. here is the link to the page to order the bracket
BRUUDT CNC Machined Special Parts - BRUUDT Windscreen Adjusters for the Honda NC750X 2016 and later models
Got the NC in May of this year. My only real complaint was the wind noise. A painful ROAR mostly in my right ear. Wind itself does not bother me. I came from a naked Yamaha FZ07 and i had a 2014 NC750S (tiny screen) and was fine even at 160kph
I had been able to manage the noise for the most...
Stopped in at dealer first thing this morning. They installed the replacement stand. All is good now
Was disappointed last week so did not think to ask which bolt broke. But i asked mechanic today, (same mechanic as last week) said it was the bolt with the spring that broke on other one.
Be careful if you get and install yourself the official Honda Centre stand.
I ordered one a week ago and arranged to have it installed by dealer on August 10. I considered doing it myself but glad i did not.
Dealer installed it. Tested its action and SNAP. The bolt broke. They ordering my...
old thread but i had a similar issue on my former 2016 NC750X. At slow speed a steady thump-thump-thump. Like you are going over road ruts or grooves. Put it down to the bridge i was going across.
Closer to home i stopped and had a quick look at the bike. Did not see anything.
Next morning...
oil surface tension works great. I remove dipstick. Wipe clean. Insert, then pull bike upright for a few seconds. Let it back down on the side stand. Remove dip stick and check oil. There is enough surface tension for an accurate reading.
looks same as mine. Does not have the showa caps. So either they have the innards but not the caps or just no Showa.
But i am guessing no to Showa as every other bike that has these have the Showa caps.
Thanks for the pictures 670cc. One thing i want to know. One of your pictures just caught the edge of the top of the forks.
Does the USA bike have the Showa Dual Bending forks?
Honda must have their reasons but seems strange that a larger market (USA vs Canada) gets the new bikes so late. Canadians get the new bikes in May. Really curious to see what features the 2018 NC has for the US.
Of the features i listed elsewhere. I got almost all of them. Namely, better...
another great riding weekend is over. After two weeks of owning this bike, I am so glad i decided to sell the
Yamaha FZ07 and got the NC750X DCT. The NC sitting ergo is much more comfortable. More upright, better hip and knee angles.
This bike has plenty of power and torque. For street use...
well that is done. Stopped at dealer this morning and had first service done. (bike had 985km) Went well, got there at 0930 and they got bike onto lift at around 1015. Was on my way at around 1300.
They did a good job this time. Last time i was there was when i had the first service done on the...
ya disappointed in Madstad. Sent two email, one on Sunday (closed i know) and sent another on Monday (14th). They say they usually reply within one business day. By Thursday i got no reply. I phoned them. No answer, just voice mail. Left message. No call back.
no progress on order. Nothing. So...
Just sent Madstad a request to cancel the order. Will see if they answer this email. They say they reply by one business day. My last email went 5 with no reply. (when i asked for color change to clear from light smoke)
Do not really need the shield now. The experiment i did with the closed...
