I've found that the windscreen either needs to be barn door sized to get my helmet out of turbulent air completely (very quiet, but hot in the summer and ugly; or it needs to be short enough that my helmet is in clean air, which on the NC was a home-brew screen just shorter than stock. It was...
As one who has attempted to make my own custom seat, spent close to $200 on materials, and a few hours of my time, I will be purchasing an RDL shortly for my new bike. My custom seat is better than stock, but not all day comfortable.
That would be awesome!
I know there is some good stuff in Western ID, I rode through a lot of it last year. ON I-84 though... :D
I do still want to explore more in WA and OR.
Day 5
June 25th
After the wonderful night’s sleep that I had, I woke to the lovely smell of the forest around us. Dang, was this place beautiful! I guess the others slept much harder than I did. They didn’t hear the mountain lion. They, of course, assume that I did not hear any such noise...
I wish we had an extra 2 weeks to tack on to the trip. There were so many great roads and sights in the Northwest that I wanted to see. I guess it leaves me with several excuses to head back on another trip or two!

It's been way too long since my last post about this trip. Sorry folks...sometime life distracts me
Day 3
June 23rd
Welcome to the Pacific North-Wet! We woke a little later than anticipated, and found the outstide world was a grey, gloomy, wet mess. Time to test the rain gear. I was a...
There is a short blank that fits, but the key thinner. It activates the lock tumblers and turns the lock cylinder, but it will bend/break. I almost broke mine off in the lock...
[emoji1] yeah, she has more than one pair, but so do I...
I also brought home this last week...
1977 XL175
It was my second bike growing up. The first was a Yamaha PW50.
I'm going to take my time selling it, so maybe SOQS will forget [emoji14]
