Look at Harley Davidson. I want to a local dealer last weekend, they had over 36 low mileage (less than 10,000) on bikes anywhere from 1-8 years old. They had a number of 2022 models with less than 5000 miles.
Dang. I did 1054 miles in 17 hours back in 2014 for the butt burner ride on my nc700x. That was with an 1.5 hour stop at a DQ outside Pensicola and 45 minute stop in Lake City to get dry from a super rain storm. Don't think I want to do that again, but who knows.
When you hit the rev limiter. 75mph in 6th gear, the bike is at 4000 rpms, 2000+ rpms below the rev limiter. I don't think you can hit the rev limiter in 6th, don't know about 5th gear- never tried. I maxed the speed in 6th gear once (100+ mph) and was below 6000 rpms.
Yep, all is normal. Nothing to get by hitting rev limiter (which you can't hit in 6th anyways). I have a 2013 nc700x also. 4000 rpms at 75mph is right.
The clunk is normal and I don't notice it. Even my little klx250sf has it. The Honda is clunk, the C50 is Clunk, and the bmw g650gs I used to own was CLUNK. The only time the service manual states to do a DCT resynchronization is when clutch plates are replaced.
I did the same a few years ago but with a large plastic cutting board from Walmart.
I also mounted the topcase bracket on it. For bigger loads, I can remove the top case and place the load on the cutting board.
I sat on a 500, but didn't feel comfortable on it. Knees were too high with my 33" inseam. I have been test riding other bikes, but haven't found anything I like. My nc700x, my Suzuki C50 Boulevard, and even the little KLX 250sf have low torque and don't need to be revd very much to get going. I...
