    Pinlock faceshield and lens

Are you guys with Nolan lids still on your original insert? Does that insert have the silicone bead? My original insert (with bead) became loose (would no longer hold enough tension to keep the bead sealed). The replacement I ordered DID NOT have the bead and is not nearly as effective. I...

Real performance mods (legal) for NC700X

I replaced my engine, frame, wheels, seat and everything else with this, and ended up with a nearly 40% increase in horse power!! :p I do miss the frunk and higher MPG, but 50mpg is nothing to sneeze at...and the roll on power at highway speeds is quite nice...

Twisted Throttle - A little disappointed

I've never had an issue with anything I have ordered from Twisted Throttle. But, and this is no excuse for them, the majority of things they sell are imported and may not always show proper availability. Sometimes it's the opposite. I just ordered a windscreen for my Ninja 650. It said "In...

    New to bikes, kind of

Where were you two weeks ago when I was selling my NC?? Haha! I would consider the NC a good starter bike, but maybe not for you. You are an inch shorter than me and will certainly not be able to flat foot on this bike unless you lower it. I'm quite familiar with riding around Houston, and...

    2014 Yamaha FZ 09

I very nearly replaced the NC with one of those. I love the looks of it and after having sat on one it was very nearly a done deal. But, the lack of wind protection (even compared to the minimal protection of the stock NC) and it's tiny fuel tank played the biggest roll in not getting one...

Okay be honest...who has suffered some buyer’s remorse?

Since there was some FZ-09 discussion in this thread thought I'd post some impressions of it now that I have seen it in person. WOW! What a beautiful bike. Priced only $500 more than the standard NC, this bike definitely makes you wonder why Honda cheaped out on certain things...

My Little Island will be home to over 1/2 million bikers this weekend!

I go every year, but the one thing they can't get right is the music! AAAAH!! They have the usual "biker" bands that make the rally circuit, but unlike other well established bike rallies, we can't seem to get at least a mid-level act to perform. Instead of the real thing, this year we get a...

Anyone seen one of the Can-Am spyder Trikes?

I've looked at them from time to time. If they ever adopted a front suspension like that on the Piaggio MP3 (which I very nearly bought) I'd be all over it. If Piaggio had a bigger dealer network I would have ended up on one for sure.

    Trade NC700X for NT700V?

You might have a bit of trouble doing that as the NT700V was only out in the US for one (maybe two) years and was not a big seller. Have you considered the CTX700?

    trip odometer not resetting

If you are trying to reset as soon as you start the bike, that is your problem. Wait about 30 seconds, cycle to the trip meter you want to reset with the left button, then press and hold the right button to reset the trip meter.

Okay be honest...who has suffered some buyer’s remorse?

I think you are misinterpreting the point of the picture. A GSXR isn't what I would think of when I picture ice racing, just proves the point that you can make your bike whatever it is you want, even if it wasn't specifically made to be that. Getting back to the original topic...the only...

Okay be honest...who has suffered some buyer’s remorse?

I think all the people you mention would say the NC isn't what is considered a true adventure bike. That it CAN be used like an adventure bike doesn't mean it is a bike that would commonly be considered one. Just about every pro review commented on its "adventure styling" and how, it's stock...

Okay be honest...who has suffered some buyer’s remorse?

With my Victory I haven't given any other big cruisers a second thought. The FZ9 has me drooling and looking at my NC and wondering....lighter, faster, fully adjustable suspension, sexy looking swingarm, upright riding position...if someone comes out with some decent hard luggage...the NC may...
