A few people have been scammed on the site, Only use paypal to pay for items for sale by other members. If they will not use paypal, its likely a scam NEVER SEND E-TRANSFERS OF ANY KIND.
I think I disagree with your methodology, if I'm understanding you right.
If you're ignoring fixed costs because you're paying them anyway, you've already decided to have the bike and the comparison is no longer "is the bike saving me money" and is instead "is using the bike saving me money."...
Agreed, which is why I find it hard to believe the bike being overall cheaper to run, especially if you compare it to the scenario where you have no bike (total zero cost of ownership).
Hell, 2 tires for my NC costs almost as much as 4 tires for my wagen. The only thing the bike has going for it...
What was considered in your breakdown?
Are you looking at total cost of ownership, or just fuel/permit/insurance?
I'm only curious because I find it hard to believe anyone will actually SAVE money by owning a motorcycle even if they almost entirely replace all of their car trips with bike trips...
Probably won't affect my riding, but I might actually come closer to breaking even on the cost of ownership considering I get twice the distance out of a measure of gas on the NC compared to my wagen.
Of course I already tell my wife the bike pays for itself in fuel savings, even though it might...
Does the bike have an O2 sensor (from factory)?
I think the 750 does, but at this point, I honestly can't remember if my '12 700 does or not.
If yes, does the new exhaust have an O2 sensor?
It's possible that fuel consumption is linked to that, I know my car has a bad O2 sensor and that SEVERELY...
I don't disagree that you can wear all the gear that exists and still meet a fatal collision, but it is generally accepted that the more and better gear you are wearing, the more likely you are to keep your insides on the inside.
To be clear, I fully agree that personal safety is a personal...
Valid points, but living in a province where a significant portion of the population does not have a GP, anything that saves the overall healthcare system money is helpful, especially when it doesn't cost the taxpayer.
Tobacco and alcohol are (meant to be) offset by the exorbitant taxes charged...
Where that argument falls apart for me wouldn't be applicable to the US, but with Canada's universal healthcare, someone who gets insane road rash and needs skin grafts or ends up in hospital for a while for whatever other crash related reasons directly impacts everyone, since we all pay in to...
That sounds as logical as any reason I could think of. The only other thing I'd think to look at would be how many accidents happen during say RH turns vs LH turns or which side is a motorcyclist more likely to be hit from during a 2+ vehicle accident.
Ultimately it's just reporting real world...
Does the mechanic evaluate the properties of the material selected?
Has the mechanic assessed the forces acting on the final drive?
Or is it possible that the mechanic knows a properly installed riveted master link has such-and-such a head dimension without really putting too much thought into...
In most places, generally blue lights are reserved for police vehicles only.
Where I am, you can't have any blue lights at all, and you can't have any red lights visible from the front.
Though, there is a difference between "cool white" and "blue", but I wouldn't count on your average police...
There is a big difference between training a mechanic and learning the theory. Generally the mechanics learn the "do" and not the "why and how".
Case in point, does a mechanic analyze the forces applied to the master link, or does he just squash the rivet until it's as flat as the book says it...
I think it comes from the slightly greater chance that the clip departs. It's supposedly easier for a clip to get pushed off than a (properly driven) rivet to fail.
The clip has basically nothing to do with the "strength" of the chain, the pins and plates take care of that, the clip is only to...
