    Question Front brake conversion

The Spiegler brake line kit was Part# S-HN0325. Link: https://spieglerusa.com/honda-nc-700-x-premium-brake-line-kit-17858.html The Brembo Rotor Part# was 68B407G7. Link: https://www.oppracing.com/product_display/14428492-brembo-serie-oro-disc-320x50mm-serie-oro-fixed-front-68b407g7/ I have...

2023 NC750X Manual suspension, restore travel and ground clearance

In fact I installed a shock with adjustable ride height so the rear is raised even more than the listed amount of the jack-up kit. I installed the YSS Gold Valve knock-off kit, with YSS springs in the forks and I dropped them slightly in the yoke to raise the front as much as possible...

    Question Front brake conversion

I did the Brembo Rotor/Stainless line upgrade over a year ago and while the lever requires a much firmer pull than my sportier bikes, the NC will stop just as hard as anything I own. Late last year I had a vehicle panic stop just in front of me and I was impressed with just how quickly the NC...

    NC ever left you stranded?

I just had the rear wheel, brake-side bearing fail at 22K miles on my 19 NC750X. I caught it early, while oiling the chain. I lube chains after every ride with a light coat of gear oil and I always check all our bike's rear wheel bearings by checking side play. After several decades of riding...

    I want back in!

My 2019 NC750x with a relatively short list of mods, raising link, aftermarket suspension front and rear, stainless front brake line, Brembo non-wave rotor and Honda rear rack is my favorite do-it-all motorcycle of all time.

2022: What did you do to/with your NC700/NC750 today?

The Roadsmart 3 was a decent tire and has become a solid value option. The Roadsmart 4 is dramatically superior; easier to install, lighter turn-in, superior grip on any surface and outstanding wear. The RS4 is still the best handling tire at the wear bars I've ever ridden. No small feat. I have...

2022: What did you do to/with your NC700/NC750 today?

I installed a set of Road 6's on my Triumph Tiger Sport 660. The bike came with Road 5's and the front was essentially grip free at 1,600 miles, which coincidentally is the average miles I get out of sport rubber on my NC750X. The OEM rear Road 5 was in such good shape I installed a new Road 6...

2022: What did you do to/with your NC700/NC750 today?

Passing any bike in a corner is a racetrack thing and I passed several at a time at your track when I had my 700 at Barber. Straightaways not so much fun. Unlike the track the street is not a great choice to pull off in-corner passes so hard ridden sport bikes dispense of my NC easily on the...

2022: What did you do to/with your NC700/NC750 today?

With the first replacement (EBC) set I cleaned the rotor with hot soapy water and then scrubbed it with brake cleaner on a clean rag until the rag collected no more residue. I thought I might have been too rough with that set before they bedded in so I pulled the pads and cleaned them with 90%...

2022: What did you do to/with your NC700/NC750 today?

I believe you're right about the pads glazing JD. I had a similar problem with one of my 6th gen VFRs but I cured them by cleaning the rotor and installing new pads. I tried EBC's and they had an even rougher feel than the OEM. They had a little better initial bite until they overheated and then...

2022: What did you do to/with your NC700/NC750 today?

My 2019 750X continues to evolve. The Lust Racing Raising Link gave it much improved ground clearance and the YSS suspension (fork kit and shock) refined its road-holding feel when riding technical mountain roads, where the bike spends most of its time. With the improved handling the bike's only...

Question Buying a 2021, on the fence about DCT?

I've owned two manual NC's and I have spent many quality miles on the DCT. I always recommend the DCT version and every generational upgrade only adds to the desirability of the DCT. KEB

    Pondering my return

I don't take my NC offroad, the suspension upgrades gave the bike much more ground clearance and better road feel at deep lean angles. I love having the luxury of not having to account for dragging parts through the mountain turns that make up 90% of my riding.
