@melensdad so if you were buying now, knowing what you do, would you buy the one you have or the Venture jacket for a little more to get the remote? I've been looking at both, and some of the other options you listed previously.
I got heated grips first as I wanted them installed from the get-go when I picked the bike up from the dealer. Great at setting 1 for taking the chill off, and at 5 they can keep my hands warm even in my winter snowmobile gloves. My previous ride did not have heated grips, and with just that...
Looked at it, sat on it, checked out the (miniscule) storage. Tried the CTX and thought that was a much better fit/ position. Got on the NCX and that was that!!
I have the Olympia Rain gear. My summer gear and my cold weather gear all have the liners, but if it's raining more than a mist I will put on the Olympia. I will also use it in the fog. The hi-viz just makes it worth the extra few minutes to put over my regular gear. I've had it for a few...
for $5 I also bought the proprietary to SAE connector so that it would work with my pigtail, just figured that in to the cost and thought it was still a pretty good deal.
Woot has the NOCO Genius G3500 6v/12v multi-purpose battery maintainer-charger on sale from $79.99 to $34.99 with free shipping. MUST BE A PRIME MEMBER
Works well to keep the bike (and other batteries) charged.
I have other NOCO gear and it is nice stuff, pretty well rated by others too...
Cleaned the snow off the bike cover. Again. Doesn't look like riding weather at all this week :(
In past years I've ridden past Thanksgiving, and one year almost to Christmas. Not looking good for either this year though, might be time to move the bike to the neighbours garage and put it...
No, school run yesterday (and today too), plus it's raining and with the temps starting at a high of 41 at 6am and finishing the end of today at 32 the bike is staying under wraps . I fully anticipate it to start just fine now that it's been on the charger for a couple of days. I do have a...
Went out to start the bike yesterday morning after not riding it since the middle of last week. Lights came on but it wouldn't turn over. I've put it on a Battery Tender Jr. from somewhere between T'giving and Christmas, through to about Easter each year when I'm not riding. It's also in a...
It's getting to be dark for the morning ride, so even though it can be a bright, sunny ride home I decided it was time to swap back from the tinted helmet visor to the clear with Pinlock insert visor. The built-in 'sunshield' will have to suffice for the after work ride home!!
32 degrees for the ride to work this morning, but a beautiful crisp one!! Love the heated grips and snowmobile gloves! Probably time to swap out the shield back to my clear lens with pinlock insert, as well as install the breath box. Fall riding, love it!!
