Yes. Definetaly on Average and not current MPG.

I would prefer a new unit in all honesty as not only does the trip keep reseting, occassionally the average MPG goes crazy.i.e + or - 20MPG readings on a steady bit of road. Honda should always honour a recall i would guess if you reported the fault within the warranty period.

I know i don't need to go with a main dealer for my service, but my local garages are rubbish. I don't mind paying the extra to be honest as the main dealer so far have been good and i get a courtesy vehicle. A lot of cheaper local garages don't supply this. As for doing sevicing myself...

I am not sure Jelly, but if it is it is quite expensive. There is a shortage of good bike garages where i live, so pretty much reliant on the main dealer, and with that the main dealer prices.

Anyone think the valves should be checked pre 16k miles?:confused:

Just booked my bike in for its 8k service on Friday, and to my delight you do not have to have the valves checked. Honda say that it is now part of the 16k Service. So cost are reduced from a quoted £360 to now £160. Extra money for Father Christmas this year :-) :p I asked them to look...

I have recently seen my Average MPG jump up and down also now by pretty big margins (+ or - 15-20mpg) I will be taking it in for its 8k service around December and will insist they have a look at it.

done just over 4k miles and DCT works fine..i have noticed it is hanging onto the higher revs now though before changing up..maybe it has learnt i am quite heavy with my right hand :rolleyes:

Phoned Honda and no update to the trip issue which is very annoying. I do the same journey day in day out so i can get by. But if you were planning a ride out it would be a pain in the arse. They did however offer me a discount on some Michelin RP2'S and only charge me the labour for fitting 1...
