    Japanese bikes being discontinued

I could see Honda dropping all manual trans models of the Goldwing. That's what Chevy did with the C8 Corvette and you don't hear too many crying about that decision.

    Japanese bikes being discontinued

That press release makes no sense. It says that the new Japanese emissions mirror the Euro 5 emissions. The Goldwing already meets Euro 5. No reason to scrap it if it already meets Euro 5.

2022: What did you do to/with your NC700/NC750 today?

If I ever get back on 2 wheels, it will be at my daughter's lake house where there is no such thing as traffic LOL, and lots of hard packed gravel roads and hard sand to ride on. So, a likely choice would be a Suzuki Van Van 200 or Yamaha TW 200. Now that appeals to me.

    $1000 CAD will buy $1000/$2.20 per litre = 455 litres/3.79 litres per US gallon = 120 US gallons of diesel. He covered 2400 km round trip so that's 2400 X 0.62= 1488 miles/120 = 12.4 miles/US gallon Not bad for a RAM 2500 pulling a horse trailer at 70 mph

One Year In .. a summary

If you do come up, I would be glad to offer my suggestions on where to ride, camp, eat, drink, and enjoy our wonderful province. We are really just like our licence plate motto says: "Friendly Manitoba".

One Year In .. a summary

Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT come north into Manitoba if you're looking for smooth roads to drive on. Most of our city streets and highways make Kandahar's roads look like airport runways. The guy from Alberta who bought my bike commented on how rough and bumpy even our Trans-Canada highway is...

2022: What did you do to/with your NC700/NC750 today?

Thanks. I had lots of interest. Being such a niche bike, I was concerned that most people looking to buy a motorcycle would not know what a DCT is. Most inquirers knew that Honda makes DCT's and knew what they are all about.

2022: What did you do to/with your NC700/NC750 today?

I sold my bike and watched it wheeled into a horse trailer. The guy drove 14 hours each way to pick it up. I have never had so much cash in my hand in my life. He said he would end up spending another $1000 in diesel fuel to get it. I was sad that I wasn’t sad to see it go.

2022: What did you do to/with your NC700/NC750 today?

I did the showkey mod and Seat Concepts kit. Big time sliding before both of those, none whatsoever after. I believe the showkey is the more effective of the two, and no doubt the cheaper.

Help - What is this and where did it come from?

It likely fell into the lower cowl, but not from your bike. I'm guessing it came from Honda's shipping crate. I have never seen anything like it after having the fairings off my bike many times.

2021 Honda NC750X BMC air filter installation tutorial

Walk in the park compared to doing a Goldwing air filter. For comparison, I did a video of the air filter change on my F6B. It's a 2 parter, an hour to watch both parts. Please don't waste your time unless you have a Goldwing, but just take a quick perusal to see why a dealer charges 2 hours...

    Quiet OEM Muffler vs. Aftermarket

These days with the new laws coming down the pipe (pun intended), drilling a hole anywhere in your exhaust system would likely result in repercussions for the wallet.

    Bike won’t change gear

Not so on bikes built for every other market than the US. My NC is optimistic by 6%, exactly the same amount as my Goldwing was. I had a Speedohealer on my 'Wing. I didn't bother with one on the NC. I just use my GPS speedo; much cheaper and easier than installing the 'Healer.

2022: What did you do to/with your NC700/NC750 today?

Watched the potential buyer of my NC sit on the seat on the centre stand and shoot the shite with me for 90 minutes. He wanted to see the bike again. We agreed on a price, and he has my eTransfer info for the deposit. He has one more thing to do tomorrow; test ride an Africa Twin DCT. He will go...

2022: What did you do to/with your NC700/NC750 today?

I found the instructions of brake light engagement to be very poor. I wrote my own and slipped them into the service manual. Verbatim: Loosen lower nut Turn top nut clockwise to lower the pedal Tighten lower nut Push brake light switch body upwards Turn plastic nut CW if switch operates too...
