New member welcome thread..

Hi everyone from Italy.

I've joined the NC club with a NC750X as my very first bike, apparently a bold choice by everyone i've talk to, but it tick all the boxes i wanted in a bike (except maybe more power as jeremy clarkson says).
Bike is 2014 model with 28k km and it came with more optionals than i'll ever need.

So far i'm loving it, can't wait for the spring to arrive to cruise to the north italy lakes.

Welcome to this community!
I ride a 2015 Suzuki V-Strom 650, and wow it is top heavy, but that is not noticed at speed. I love my wife's 2021 NC750X, because the seat height is lower and the center of gravity is lower. Very comfortable at slow speeds as well as highway.

Hi all from sunny South Africa!

Great to be here on this forum with a wealth of info it seems. This is my 44th bike (been riding a few years...) Sold my Vstrom to use this as 90% commuter and 10% "other" riding. I will admit its no rocket but fast enough for intended need. But I am still enjoying it anyway for many reasons, versatility and consumption just to name a few. AND I think it is one of the slickest looking bikes out there.... cheers for now, ride safe

We are glad to have you with us.

I think you have the bike figured out. If there ever was a poster child for the most practical motorcycle, the NC7XX and its varients would be contenders.

That picture is a beautiful view.

Hello, welcome to the forum.
Thanks
David here. Winston Salem NC,about 40 miles to Fancy Gap on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Just showed my wife a photo of NC 750 X I am supposed to pickup tomorrow. "You will never fit on that damn thing ". I am 6', 225lbs- What do you folks think? Previous bikes were Yamaha 250, Fatboy, Street Glide, Electra Glides Tour Classic and Street Glide Special.

Thanks

It's bigger than it looks in pictures. At least that's what she said....

Thanks

You might want to lower the pegs a bit but you will fit. It does sit different than your previous bikes but it works.

Thanks Okie.
How are they in a cross wind?
And any recommendations for personalized ride settings Engine breaking etc.?
I'm not much here about cross wind. My previous bike was a KLR which was like a motorized wind sock going across Kansas.

The NC is a lot better in the cross wind than the KLR. Both bikes are similar in weight and close on seat height but the NC has a much lower center of gravity. It is an easy bike to ride but it is probably not as good in the wind as your previous HD's since they have more weight and lower seat height.

Just speculation on my part.signal-2022-08-03-13-37-53-470.jpg

Hey gang,

I'm Ross Statham, I am new to motorcycling and I live in the western Florida panhandle. I'm 67 years old, just learned how to ride. Bought my 2012 model about two weeks ago via Facebook Marketplace. Couldn't be happier so far. (I have a couple of buddies from church who got me pointed in the right direction.)

This morning I took my first "serious" ride of a couple of hours-- we have hundreds of miles of country roads where we live-- and it's early Spring here-- so I got on the road early and really enjoyed myself. Rode up into south Alabama, then west, then back down into Florida-- you guys know the drill.

I'm a husband of 47 years, father of four and grandfather of seven-- and a Christian. Really like the forum and have been learning a great deal from you guys already.

We are glad you are here.

Your story is similar to quite a few people on the site.

Post a picture of the bike. We like pictures!
