2021 NC750x purchased yet?

It's obvious that you and your lady are blessed to journey through life together, good times and bad....
It's also clear that you are very brave - I wouldn't tease a woman about riding her new NC first that has those skill sets.

I promised her I would not put any more than 200 miles on her NC750X while she is resting up. She trusts me. The deal is that I will install the accessories she wants. When my girl is ready, her bike will be ready.

Is that indicative of any sort of time frame other than “it’s not here yet but might arrive at some point in the hopefully-not-too-distant future assuming Honda doesn’t change their mind”? ;)
I guess I could have texted him back asking for a more definitive answer, but I'm not going to pester him. When it gets here it gets here. In the meantime I still ride my CB 1100 every day. Should turn over 60,000 miles on it in a few days

Hey Lowrider,
I’m new to the Forum. Where’s your dealer located? I’ll be more than excited when mine arrives !! Is yours a manual or a DCT?

Thanks folks!!

Heard an interesting comment from the Operations Manager...we're getting supply from Canada (read CanAm) but not much from the Far East. My salesman has been waiting for a Yamaha longer than I waited for the Honda...Could be the China bug but it seems supply and transport should be improving by the day. Based upon what I'm hearing I feel very lucky to be getting mine now...September till June ain't very good as I see it. My original delivery estimate was Dec 2020 but it appears there are lots of reasons for delays. My faithful Bandit and DRZ have served me well while waiting.

Wonder how many NC's will fit in a 747-400? Hopefully things will improve.

My day job is logistics and one of the data points I get is ships at anchor and ships in port in the far East and it's getting worse right now not better. More ships waiting increases lead times. This indicates that supply chain disruptions from the global pandemic are going to continue well into 2022. Finished good and raw materials are in high demand and often short supply. What I see at work is one of the reasons I decided to buy used now before the used market tightens up even more. I think things like tires are going to see price increases and shortages. Since tires don’t go bad in the short to near term and will be used at some point it might not be a bad idea to buy in advance of need.

Thanks Dave...good info. I almost got tires to have the dealer change them...wish I had.

I am currently seeing some tires I buy are not available, or available at only a few outlets at higher prices. I always keep an advance tire supply on hand for the motorcycles, but as you suggest, now may be a time to buy even farther in advance.

I noted in the latest NC owner's manual, Honda advises to discontinue use of tires at 10 years past manufacture date, so there is no chance of my tires aging out before wearing out, even when buying in advance.

Any problem running 170 v 160 705 on the rear? That's only 5mm on each side...can't be that tight...eh?

When I ran tried a Shinko 705, I think I chose the 150/70 rear size. It worked fine.

Something else made news today in the motorcycle world. Parts manager at the Honda dealer where I used have his job was told by his largest aftermarket supplier Yuasa will not take any purchase orders in 2022 from the big aftermarket suppliers so as to only keep up with forecast demand from motorcycle manufacturers. These supply houses would be Tucker, Parts Unlimited, Western Powersports, etc. Battery shortage in 2022?
