Was researching what the 2021 NC750X model might look like, and came across this post. Is this for real? Looks like two new colors- Pearl Red and Pearl Green. The copy of this posting looks like a very poor translation from Japanese, but I'm too new to the bike to know if there's truly new features being listed.

Real deal or Photoshop fakery?

Honda is very good at keeping secrets about upcoming models or model year revisions. If the site showing next year’s models is not American Honda’s web site, I would put little faith in it’s authenticity for the USA market. There are many models shown there at that site that are not available in the USA. Also, the NC750X models shown are manual transmission with ABS. That configuration has never been offered in the US.

USA, Canada, Europe, Australia, Asian, etc markets get different models at different times. What’s available in one area may or may not be offered in another area.

Thanks for sharing. I am particularly interested in what might be coming in 2021 models because I’m soon buying another bike after a multi-decade drought from riding. Have had my eye on the Ducati Multistrada for years, but worry it may be “too much bike” for getting back into riding. Also looking at the BMW F900 XR and the Triumph Tiger 900 GT Pro.
But the NC750X has some solid features (though missing a few) that makes it a compelling choice for the money.

Seems like a great time to be riding given the great choices out there.

The "new" green colour reminds me of the calamata green on the F800GS and 1200GSA

Long ago, a new NC was shown in green in the earlier body style, but if it was ever sold, it was possibly only in Asia.

American Honda usually sticks with play-it-safe colors like red, grey, or black. The NC is not popular in the US, and neither are green vehicles. It’s unlikely a dealer would want to order a green one and risk getting stuck with it.

Maybe in South Africa you'll be fortunate to be able to get the green.

I like the muffler. I've been searching for "non-current" new NC750xs, and there are plenty of them (the dealers can order them) but only in manual transmission. I might have to search for a low mileage used bike. Preferably with a kickstand, taller windshield and upgraded seat.

I personally will not buy a NC in this colour
This specific green is not a nice colour to me YMMV

It is nice to see the NCX sells well enough and continues to be worthy of Honda Motor Corp's attention and investment but all the 2021 Honda NC750X press releases I've seen are in British publications. American Honda often (usually) releases new models and updated model information in October of each year. I wouldn't count on these nice upgrades to make it to the USA for '21 if they ever do. The 750 came here four years after Europe and the UK got it so maybe there is hope.

Some encouraging news.....
I phoned a local dealer in Winnipeg yesterday to inquire about the '21 750X.
I'm coming off a Goldwing F6B and the NC750X is either my next bike or no bike at all.
I'm getting older, need something lighter, and love the DCT.
I had tested a 750X DCT way back in 2016 when they first came to Canada and loved it.

Anyway, the dealer said he had heard nothing yet about the '21 NCX coming to Canada, and he said that was a good thing.
If a bike is a carryover with no changes, it would already be announced and listed on Honda Canada's website.
Traditionally new or updated bikes are held back to clear out leftover units first.
I asked when he would know more.
He said Honda Canada will announce their full '21 lineup by mid December, and he would know shortly before that.
His dealership had already placed its initial order of bikes from Honda Canada, and they had not ordered any '21 NCX's because they are not yet listed as available.
We both agreed that it would make no economic sense to have 2 versions of 750's for 2021.
They would highly unlikely make 2 versions of the engine, the DCT (new gearing for 2021), two versions of the frame, ECM, etc etc for the same model in different markets.
So stay tuned with fingers crossed.......

bigbird,

Welcome to the forum! That is encouraging news and I hope you guys in Canada get the bike next month and we get it soon here in the USA. I remember waiting 6 months over the winter of 2011 into spring 2012 to hear when my Honda dealer could place NC700Xs on order then talking him into taking a deposit from me to in order to make sure I got one. Then I waited 3 more months to get it!

Thanks for the welcome, Dave
I hope the new bike is announced next month; traditionally we don't get stock landing in showrooms until late March or early April.
I will do as you did, get my deposit down as soon as they are announced, and go from there.
Dealers up here usually only discount bikes at the end of the riding season, like right now, or when the distributor (Honda Canada) gives retail promotions.
I know i will have to pay MSRP, and I'm OK with that. It's not like I'm dropping $32k CAD on a Goldwing Tour.
My discount will come from any Honda accessories I buy with the bike.
I have usually received 20%-25% off MSRP.
When I bought my 'Wing, I got the accessories at dealer cost.
If I get a '21, I would have a look at their new resin luggage rack, top box, tall windscreen, and of course a centre stand.
It might take the aftermarket some time to catch up to the revised model.
If the frame has been changed, fitment for a luggage rack and windscreen might be different than the previous models.

Good points on industry catch up. Thanks.

Update.
I talked to the manager of the Honda dealership again, and this is what he said:

"We decided to not bring in any 2021 NC750 for this season because we did not sell any of the 2020 we had in inventory. So yes we do have 2 2020 DCT in white in stock. It is also too late for us to make any additions to our booking so we cannot get a 2021. Honda may offer a late booking on this model if there is a re design for North America, but that has not been made known to me as of yet and I am unlikely to make any late additions to our product offering at this time."

So, I am going to make him an offer on one of his 2 unsold bikes.
I'm thinking around 13% off MSRP.

More to follow eventually.

Talk about a flip-flop.
The sales manager emailed me this morning.
He thinks the '21 is coming to Canada.
He talked to his rep at Honda Canada this morning.
He double checked his booking form and the NC750 is on it for 2021.
Bad news is it's not landing here until May.
Here is part of what he emailed me:

"- I asked about the re-design. I double checked my booking form to see if the NC750 was on it and it was. BUT the model is NOT available to arrive until MAY of 2021. So I suspect they sort of knew but did not confirm. But the update is still not announced for NA yet. I asked. I don’t think he will tell me at this time as Honda will have some kind of webinar meeting to announce it. We just had one last week for the new Rebel 1100. No talk of the revised NC750.
- That being said we could wait and see. The Rebel 1100 booking is not available to do until Jan. Honda alluded to more new model announcements soon. I have a suspicion this will be one of them and I suspect we will get a second chance to book this model along with the Rebel 1100 in Jan. If that happens and I know that you want one, I can book one just for you with a $500 deposit. Once I know I can let you know. Then we can decide on if the 2020 we have is the option you go with and I push them for rebates so we can get you into this model at a great price.
-Of course we will discount the P&A on either model! NO issues there. As soon as I get the rebate sheet for December I will get you a price on the 2020. We may not though, if we don’t then we will re-visit in Jan of 2021. The Honda rep agreed with me that there should be a rebate on the 2020 NC750 so he is pushing that up to see if we can make it happen. As I know you will know."

Again, more to follow.
Soon, I hope.

I went to the dealership today.
I sat on the bike, asked lots of questions that were all answered without any "sorry, I don't know, I'll get back to you".
The young guy was a bikeaholic and knew everything about his products, in addition to his owning an Africa Twin DCT.

The news from the GM was that no rebates were announced today for the month of December.
So, if rebates are coming, it will be January.
January will be my decision time.
If there are no rebates on the '20, then I'll order a '21.
If there are rebates, Honda history says they will likely be $1k.
That will bring my net price on the '20 down to $2k under MSRP, and I can live with that.
A new '21 would be full list MSRP with the only discount being on parts and accessories.
That's today's update.
