Hello,

my first post here, some background, since my 16 I am riding a variety of motorbikes , the last 10 years less due building of our house etc..

The last couple of years I had a severe knee problem and I had to give up motor riding or get myself an automatic transmission one.
Last year I wanted to ride again and be more mobile, and had a look to what was available..
The position on the Integra was at the time the best choice, since I was limited in moving my knee , today I am much better and I am riding my first longer stretches with the Integra (I wasn't able to ride it even though I bought it, I underestimated the weight of the bike and the stress it put on my knee at stops and handling the bike etc..)

Today I am much better and I am riding often the integra (2016 Complete black mat version) , I fell in love with the automatic transmission, but I am not really sure about the riding position, it has a different riding position then what I was used to have, at the time ( a year ago ) it seemed a good choice, I can't say I am unhappy with it, I even like it for several reasons but it's still awkward to corner, I can't grab the bike with my legs and I don't feel so much in contact when cornering etc.. I also would love to be able to take gravel roads or do small offroad sections..

The last couple of days I had a look to two local dealerships for the NC750x , but I didn't tell me much more about the seating position and comfort level comparing the two bikes, I am not sure if making a test ride will be possible..

so I have a few questions for people who have more experience with these two bikes :

- what are the big differences riding them?
- is the integra better or worse for our back? compared to the NC750x?
- comfort ? position? cornering?
- are there only PRO's on moving up to the NC750x? Contra's?
- today I have the original cases from honda two sides and the top box , in the one shop they say it will be compatible with the NC750x bike and in the other they say they aren't.. I am sure you guys have the proper answer ;)
- In the shop they couldn't confirm if my SHOEI Neotec II size L fits the helmet compartment?

thx in advance,

CL

First off welcome. Glad to have you here.

Second, I have no experience with the Integra so I won't comment on some of the questions but the seat on the NC750x is often considered to be uncomfortable by many of us who ride them. The Honda scooter seats seem to be much more comfortable to my rear end, but again, I've never tried the Integra seat. You may find the seat on the NC to be comfortable or not.

The Integra side/top cases appear to be identical. You will very likely require a new mounting frame for the cases.

As for the Shoei helmet, just take your helmet in and try to stuff it into the Frunk of the NC750x.

Regardless of whether someone thinks of the NC seat as uncomfortable or a disaster, it seems like the ergos even without risers are going to be decent for the back. But every body is different. To get things where I really liked it took dropping the footpegs about an inch and getting the bars up and back with risers. Highway pegs also made life easy.

Welcome to the group.

I own a 2020 NC750X DCT for a month now and have put 600+ miles on it. I ride 99% in city traffic and love the DCT. That being said a few cons I have noticed.
First getting a leg over it is a bit of a stretch for me I am 6'1''. Not painful but definatly a stretch.

Second the seat is top of my list for mods. The forward slope is uncomfortable for me with the rough city streets. All the bumps put my delicates against the frunk constantly. Next on the mod list will be risers for the handlebars. I feel they are a bit low and forward on my longer rides.

Otherwise maybe a windscreen later. On longer rides at 60 plus mph the wind gets pretty loud on the helmet.
As far as seating position the pegs are good for me. And other than the mods I mentioned I don't feel the need to change anything.
As far as gravel roads I have rode everything from mopeds to cruisers on gravel roads so would not buy an NC just for that. Common sense on gravel makes a bigger difference on gravel than the bike in my opinion but I grew up on dirt bikes and gravel roads.

thx for the feedback so far..

I indeed read the cons on the seat.. but it seems that are remedies for that, I tried to get on the bike yesterday in the showroom, it was okay for me, not a problem, my integra on the other hand seems to be more difficult to get on to.. you have to swing your legs too but I think it's wider then the NC750x.. but i never tried them next to each other, it is just a feeling I have..

windscreen is the same problem on the integra, if you duck your head for only 10 cm's your in the clear.. but that all depends on your height of course.. i am 5'9''

On another topic here I read that he noted II fits nicely in the bike compartment..

okay, does that mean that it would be more interesting to sell the cases with my integra and purchase new ones for the nc750x so I can use the standard mounting frame? I guess it would be even cheaper to just keep them and buy an new mounting frame?

cheers

Perhaps You should also ask this question on the UK NC site. I believe a number of them have had or currently have the Integra. One of the current owners (Embee) is a very knowledgeable member and may be able to help.

If you want to use Honda brand cases on your NC750 then you may want to just keep the cases you have and buy appropriate mounting hardware for the NC750. It would probably be cheapest.
