nc700 rear rack

interesting concept, is the idea of the rack to allow you to fuel up without taking the bag off? I see a hole in it. sorry dont have time to read 27 pages to sort it all out haha.

Yes you can fuel up without taking the bag off. Main reason for it is gives a great platform for mounting bags. He can make with or without the hole for fueling. Mounts to the bike using the rear seat mounting points.

Picked mine up a few weeks ago. Leave on a week's journey on Saturday. The rack is perfect. Well designed and made. Easy installation.
Recommended.

Honestly, I've made several modification to my bike and this rack is definitely in the top 3 best decisions I made. Since my wife rarely rides, this rack stays on full time. I have not lifted a seat to fill my fuel in over 6 months and I ride daily so I'm fueling up every three days. You do the math. That may not seem like a big deal but it saves time and no worry about the key/lock breaking. I've strapped bags to the rack and you can always push it out of the way enough to get to the cap. You won't regret buying this rack.

+1 on Dale's rack, it is the only way to travel with a bag. I have done 700+ trips with and without the rear rack and there is a huge difference, in not only refueling, but mounting and strapping down a bag, duffle, etc.

Well worth the price, get the one with the fuel access cutout.

Hi poconochuck, do you live in Australia?:cool:

Just kidding. I've same problem with picture orientation. It looks fine on file, but sometimes, once attached, it turns by 90 degrees.

thanks chuck for your kind comment.
I have one available as of now. £100 but shipping is a bit costly £59! to USA/Canada etc.

Dale, I am interested in a rack. Do you think the rack would be able to support my 2x2 cycles mini rack?

https://2x2cycles.com/product/motorcycle-bicycle-rack/

The bike doesnt weigh much, about 23lbs. but with the setup, but it does require a tie down strap to create a "triangle" that goes from the passenger peg, to the bike stem, back to the other passenger peg, and it get pulled down with some pressure. I used the Givi arms and a few other OEM racks before for mounting that worked well.

What is the max size Rotopax you can mount here and still get to the fuel filler cap? Is it possible to mount the rotopax mount further back to accommodate the larger containers?

I mount a one gallon on mine and it allows total access to the fuel hole. The 1.75 gallon is wider and longer. When I get a chance I can mount the 1.75 and take a photo. I don't have any other sizes to try.

I was noticing the specs for the Rotopax and it looks like they have a few sizes with similar depth so I was curious if there was room to run the 13 1/4" deep or the 15" deep Rotopax.

EDIT: I just ran out and measured the space available to the topcase from the front of the pillion and it just is 13 1/4 inches so it appears the 13 1/4" Rotopax would block the fuel hole... Darn, I was cooking up a looney plan but it appears to be foiled...

Indeed, it's nice -- and a little storage space for the weed too ; }

...I'll probably use my HondaBikePro Rack for a soft-pannier saddlebag approach if I ever get to take off on overnighters, but I'm going to start by putting a bracket like this on one side to mount a Rotopax on the side opposite the muffler, similar to the way I carry extra fuel on my WR250R. Something like this but further forward of course --
